Who will run in 2020?

Bernie could join the fucking party and attack R’s more than he does D’s instead of the reverse. Beyond tired of that actually.

The UK results are very WAAF for 2020 too btw if you haven’t looked, don’t.

I’ve said before that it does bother me that Bernie is not a party member. And while I would rather have an independent than a Republican, I’d rather have a liberal Democrat than a more progressive independent, although I would probably take Bernie over a centrist Dem.

Warren is positioning herself as the most progressive not-Bernie, Buttigieg as the most moderate not-Biden. Maybe a viable endgame is some form of Liz-Pete as a party-unifying compromise for the never-Sanders and the anti-establishment wings of the party.

UK results are not at all indicative of US, Brexit is a massive factor without comparison in 2020

it’s going to be the same strategy from R’s though, lots of people weren’t voting for brexit, they were voting against Corbyn. (ironically I guess this will also have to be the same strategy from D’s vs Trump or they lose)

Your posts display the characteristics of an idiot.

I’m sure the voters will be thrilled to vote for Liz after she wins 0 states

No…

Even on debate night, when TheBern was debating Joe Biden on his record, it was not an attack but factual information.

Attacks their ideas with the Truth is what I really meant.

Castro misses Virginia ballot, not that it matters

I am surprised Castro and Booker haven’t withdrawn

Castro isn’t doing anything else (TX deadline just passed for everything and he like Beto isn’t running for anything) but yes Booker is a shocker, he has a senate race and NJ isn’t 100% in 2020. (PVI is only +7 and R’s gained in NJ in the last elections) Oh sure it won’t likely matter but why add a percent or two chance to not winning for no reason in 2020 senate run?

Pretty sure Castro is auditioning for VP. Still don’t think it’s going well though, lol.

Running for president might actually help him in his senate race. It raises his status (“former presidential candidate”), gets media attention and the funds he raises can still be used for his senate campaign.
He is also still quite young and maybe wants to lay some groundwork for a future campaign, and then there is the VP slot. See:

I think he’d be a good fit for Warren (white/PoC, female/male, old/young)

Edit: Talking about Castro here although it could also apply to Booker

Whoa, this is a complete shock poll.

Has to be an outlier. If somehow Biden doesn’t win SC by 20+, it’s over.

Usually they get higher unfavorable ratings in polls in their home state as senators running for president. Longer they run the worse it gets when they get more heavily scrutinized.

eh, Biden’s been right in there in Iowa/NH polls recently too but yes, that would be a shock to me if bernie and warren both were double digits in SC much less 19 each.

I was only speculating. This changes my assessment.

Next debate dates announced: First 4 primary debates of 2020 announced, including ABC News debate in New Hampshire - ABC News

Jan 14 (Before Iowa votes, held in Iowa)
Feb 7 (After Iowa votes, Before NH votes, held in NH)
Feb 19 (After NH votes, Before NV votes, held in NV)
Feb 25 (After NV votes, Before SC votes, held in SC)

Booker has always been anywhere other than NJ. Him holding on until the funds run out makes sense.

Yeah, but I really don’t know if NotBruceZ is trolling all the time. What he does is post the truth about the positions of mainstream Dems and Liberals. If he’s not trolling, his edginess is just honesty.

i want bernie to get the nomination for a number of reasons, not the least of which is having the russian bot army short-circuit from the logical paradox of both of them DESTROYING the other
