Making a big deal about your dog is like the quintessential politician thing, it’s not being wild, wacky and not caring about conventions.
Warren’s dog is awesome and we should talk about it more.

Politicians do it because it works. I don’t remember HRC doing it, and I don’t recall Kerry doing it, and I don’t recall Gore doing it. Doing something those losers were too good to do is a pretty good start. And to be clear if they did it (they probably did) they did it poorly. Warren does it well, and her visible normal human touch is important to separating herself from her opponents who, like most very ambitious people, are weird.
But also vs Trump it’s a very good idea because every single normal human interaction he has is stilted and very weird (even for a politician!) because he’s got a full blown personality disorder. Especially in the general you can’t point out that you’re a normal fully functioning human being enough.
Bernie guessing the price of sneakers is terrific, starts at 5:30 but the rest of the interview is good too.

I would also have guessed about $100.
Not guessing 10k shows Bernie is not Yang material. Don’t multiply your last way too low guess by some number, multiply their last reveal by some number. I guessed 10k but 15k-20k would have been fine.
is bloomberg in? I can’t find it and predictit is going nuts. I don’t see anything but a no so which right wing place is talking about him running this time?
On the second one I would have guessed more than $1500.
Also under the circumstances on the first I probably would have thought “what’s the most a sneaker could conceivably cost” and gone with like $250.
MSNBC Nicole Wallace and Al Franklin with guests just done the same 15min segment without mentioning The Bern once.
