Maybe… But I’m more inclined to believe that if it’s coming from someone who actually advocates for single payer. When skydiver8/Pete tell me we need 10+ years, I want a second opinion.
I also know if we don’t get it done in under four years, it’s going to be at a high risk of getting ripped to shreds by the GOP.
Nah, it’s because she keeps pushing lies that we know are lies. If she tried to defend her candidates plan on the merits, we’d be fine with the arguments even if we disagree with them on the merits.
Yep, exactly. It was disrespectful of her to come in here and post dishonest stuff, and so we’re treating her disrespectfully about that specific part of it. There’s a reason I was much more respectful in our disagreements on policy/candidates before, and much less so now.
Yup, tons of people think they have good insurance until they go to use it for something serious.
Hopefully that won’t happen to me, but my problem is that I don’t want to use my insurance for anything not very serious. If I need an organ transplant I hope I’m good, but if I break my arm or something it might cost me my $6500 deductible and I’d be pretty likely to just go to urgent care and pay cash instead of use my insurance.
Why would I have future bills? Max deductible is $6500 per year (or thereabouts). I’ve had this insurance for several years and I don’t think I’ve spent a penny on myself other than premiums. If I were maxing my deductible every year, then sure, it wouldn’t matter. And it doesn’t carry over from year to year.
If you break your arm and it costs, say, 4K to get treated why not put that on your insurance so that if your appendix bursts the next week you’re only out 2.5k instead of the full 6.5?
Because my appendix isn’t likely to burst. Like I said, I’m several years with no money other than premiums (for me - we have paid stuff for wife and kids). If I break my arm and it’s $4k with insurance and $500 at urgent care, I’m going to be out $3500 like 90% of the time and 10% of the time I will have wasted that $500.
That’s just a hypothetical though. I think emergency services are covered for me so I might go for a broken arm. But I do have a few what I’ve been told are benign cysts under my skin in my abdomen and side. They aren’t big enough that you can really see them, but they bug me and even hurt a little sometimes. I’d have them removed if it wouldn’t cost me a bunch.
So what you’re saying a few posts above is that you like your insurance, and what you’re saying here is you’re living with annoyance and pain because treating that medical problem would be expensive.
But Pete and skydiver8 would be like “Microbet likes his insurance, how dare you change it??”
Actually I would say, “you should have the choice to change it if you want.” Which you would know if you were not being dishonest or disingenuous about me and this argument.
Why do you lie about me? Are you a liar? Stop fucking lying about me.
I know you’ve made a habit out of being dishonest in order to push Pete’s positions. Sorry I guessed slightly wrong at how you’d spin the situation. You’re the last person in this thread who should be calling anyone a liar/dishonest or trying to accuse others of being disingenuous.
I have moved past pissed off at you maligning my character into truly baffled as to what you think I’m lying about, because nothing I’ve said on here has been dishonest, or come from any intent to mislead or lie.
I also admit I probably should have started from this position, rather than the kneejerk reaction to defend my character first.
Hey guys, just a concerned citizen here letting you know that even though your liberal plan would be better than everything else, you shouldn’t run on it, you should run on something watered down that the American people will like more.
Healthcare is the issue Democrats crush Republicans on unless you start scaring people by telling them you will make massive changes to the healthcare system and eliminate their private insurance.
you can pass whatever the hell you want if you win elections
I must have missed where Republicans campaigned on getting rid of the clean water act and giving billionaires a huge tax cut, yet somehow that happened.
I’ll be wrong but this is what I’m thinking right now.
quick notes,
WI would be straight up even and possibly slightly red if warren wins dem nomination. I just don’t think she’s gonna play well over there.
lots of models out there have FL even or slightly blue but it’s fucking florida I’m going red here.
fwiw I also don’t believe AZ/NC will flip for another election cycle
Senate races
flip–AL obv
CO–likely
everyone has Maine slightly red but I think collins does lose at least in a trump year.
possible–MI race then NC.
Probably nobody else.
The media will fixate months on will dems win state they almost certainly will not like texas or georgia or let’s face it florida.
Dems win pop vote by half a point better than hillary, so you’ll have to ban all the aholes who want to re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-just a little bit-the 16 election
concerns
latinos, why–they don’t hate trump and they don’t give a **** about latinos from say mexico entering illegally. Trump should get more of a percentage of them than last go around. Also they may outnumber blacks.
who the **** is voting for tulsi gabbard and still counts as a democrat
the non stop media attacks on dems because dems will be projected to win and they’ll spike the football too soon, again.
