Pretty sure every Bernie supporter here would passionately support Warren if she was the nom, and the statistics show that Bernie voters supported Hillary at a higher clip than Hillary voters supported Obama in 08. So let’s stop with this bullshit narrative.
What if I told you it’s possible to be for M4A without supporting Bernie’s plan/path to get there?
Also, in 2018, “Medicare for All” was a catch-all phrase that everyone was using, but no one had really defined. from 2018:

from 2007, where there’s a public option in the proposed Medicare for All bill:
oops
I only point this out to say that perhaps both sides of this debate have refined and crystallized their message over time, eh?

You can disagree with me about healthcare and it’s fine. I’ll grumble a bit, but I get that you’re trying to win an election. What I won’t tolerate is actively spreading misinformation. That’s wildly unacceptable and a totally different thing. That’s what Pete is doing. I’m sorry it’s not me being an unreasonable ‘single issue voter’ to find that disgusting. It’s just disgusting.
I really liked Pete when he announced. And I would have been somewhat happy if he had been nominated. Now I’ll reluctantly pull the lever for him if nominated vs Trump… but saying I prefer him to Trump is as nice as I can be. He’s a shitty person who sold out the country for a small chance of damaging Elizabeth Warren’s campaign. I thought he was better than that but obviously I was wrong.
And fuck the verbiage medicare for all. Single payer or nothing. Call single payer whatever you want I’m being incredibly clear about what I want. We have to get the costs under control. Period. Letting people onto a public option that has to pay comparable rates to private insurance companies isn’t even in the same state as what we need to do much less zip code. It’s not a compromise it’s surrendering to the rent seekers in for profit healthcare.
Will you not be voting for Pete in the primary, then?
I’m not sure that article scores points. Obama flirted with ACA with a public option, but stopped short in the name of bi-partisanship. Right after ACA passed, Bernie called for expansion to a public option. With the success of ACA (even in the face of GOP rat-fucking), Bernie thinks M4A is possible and that’s what he’s pushing for aggressively.
Today Bidigieg are calling for backing away from M4A. Put differently, on a healthcare scale ACA took us from 1 to 3 and Bernie wanted to ride that momentum to 6 immediately. Now he wants to go to 9. Bidigieg don’t want people pushing for 9; they want 6 as the max effort.
The problem isn’t simply their lack of vision, it’s the way they’re cynically attacking M4A in the name of personal ambition.
Whenever I hear her speak I feel like I was messing with my YT playback settings and accidentally set it to .8x
Meanwhile every year we continue the status quo we waste 1.2T dollars on a total GDP of just under 20T. And the only thing standing in the way of that being the unified message of the entire Democratic party is that a bunch of them are willing to sell out to the healthcare lobby.
The status quo in Healthcare in this country is in no danger of being popular with voters. The reason why single payer ‘isn’t doable politically’ is because the politicians sold out. It has nothing to do with popular opinion at all.
Is that what Pete is doing though?
He said in the 4th debate: “No plan has been laid out to explain how a multi-trillion-dollar hole in this Medicare-for-all plan that Senator Warren is putting forward is supposed to get filled in.”
That line incidentally is the exact moment when the switch flipped for me and I got straight up hostile. There’s no multi trillion dollar hole in Senator Warren’s M4A plan. It’s cheaper than the existing system by 1T a year. That’s just extremely extremely dishonest and in service of straight up evil.
And everyone clapped socialistically
This claim has been debunked so many times I’m tired of having to keep doing it so i wont. But it is pure bogus/disingenuous/misleading and dumb and you should stop making that your goto line.
I have independently confirmed catface’s claim by thinking about it but I decided to also like…Google it.
Here’s How Many Bernie Sanders Supporters Ultimately Voted For Trump
Fully 12 percent of people who voted for Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries voted for President Trump in the general election. That is according to the data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study — a massive election survey of around 50,000 people.
…
And according to one 2008 study, around 25 percent of Clinton primary voters in that election ended up voting for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in the general.
maybe?

In other candidate news, apparently, according to the QAnon fucktards, we have a big announcement coming!
? I just googled it and I’m not sure what you mean. Of people that voted in both primary and general elections, something like 25% of Hillary voters voted for McCain in 08 and 12% of Bernie voters voted for Trump in 16. The Bernie figure is in line with recent trends of voters of losing primary candidates voting for the opposing party in the general.
Why is QAnon obsessed with JFK and JFK, Jr.? I’m sure I really don’t want to know the answer.
He’s an avid Trump supporter and has been hiding in Pennsylvania for two decades
tl;dr some of these morons think that Q is JFK, Jr.
Tried this move on me in the Epstein thread, too - about my own posts, even. Are you under the impression it convinces people or something? It doesn’t.
Ok let’s keep talking about one single poll in 2008 and use that to somehow extrapolate what bernie voters did/didn’t do vs what hillary voters somehow hypothetically coulda/woulda/shoulda done. If you want to keep sounding stupid, go for it, that seems to be the theme in these threads.
oh by the way that epstein conspiracy REALLY blew up didn’t it? Man, any day now.
I don’t even know what exchange you’re referring to but I’m positive it’s being misrepresented.
