I emailed the coffee shop article author guy and he responded with regret. Now I feel like an asshole.
I get that feeling too–even here when I’m mildly critical of a person and they respond reasonably I feel like a dick.
But I’m curious, what did you say and what was his response?

Trump has played the media like a puppet. We’re getting better — but history will not judge us kindly.
For nearly five years, the story has been Trump. And, in all that time, the press is still — mostly — covering him on the terms he dictates.
We remain mesmerized, providing far too much attention to the daily circus he provides.
We normalize far too much, offering deference to the office he occupies and a benefit of the doubt that is a vestige of the dignified norms of presidencies past.
And day after day, we allow him to beat us up. And then we come back for more.

It’s incredible they’ve been debating this very topic since before the inauguration and are not one inch closer to solving it than they were then.
Also, that but at the bottom of your excerpt from that Kentucky article about how you can say you were a self-employed dog walker and get paid is false, right? I was under the impression that you have to provide some evidence of your employment.
