Whereupon We Pontificate About Poor Media Outlet Choices

Finished episode 3 of the 6 part showtime series on Roger Ailes. Pretty solid and pretty scary stuff, but I assume only only libs get showtime and watch docudramas about fat right wingers molesting blonds and programming fake news.

Anyone else watching it?

I’ve been watching it. It’s excellent.

What’s really cool is in part 6 they show us the inside scoop of how all of his horcruxes were destroyed.

Good tweet, but why would anyone assume Tucker isn’t basically dumb as shit. Born in SF, private school in La Jolla, then onto Hartford College in Connecticut, which strikes me as a diploma mill for the Tucker Carlsons of the world.

Yet somehow the defauilt position with tucker is that he’s “smart,” but with someone like AOC, who grew up lower middle class as a second generation immigrant and probably got a scholarship to Boston University, the default position (at least among conservatives) is that she’s dumb, hmm.

Yeah, confusing why anyone would think Tucker Carlson is smart, unless they confused him with Magnus Carlsen.

Whew rough week for Donald glad he’s doing well

Scant protests among the communities that can afford to donate $12M to Trump. Shocker.

Yea it’s infuriating that rich people could fix poverty in this country but choose to give money to a “billionaire.”

Not even sure where to put this, because it’s not really the Washington Post’s fault, but of course Chuck Todd is the person doing the ‘scathing’ interviews of these fkn idiots. This could go here and in the immigration thread, and probably other places, but I chose here because Chuck Todd’s name is mentioned in it.

Since it didn’t give a preview the first thrust of the article is that the Acting CBP guy said that ‘words matter’ and that these weren’t ‘raids’ they were ‘targeted law enforcement operations’. I mean fk off.

If we’re bagging on NYT when they suck it’s only right to point out when they don’t suck

That guy probably goes home and gets off to his life sized poster of Chuck Todd.

Someone’s Twitter takes are too garbagey for even the NYT:

Any additional context for what the guy did? I’m curious what the NYT line of demarcation is.

Another article where the wonderful moderate is the victim in a battle against the terrible left.

How is this any different from a Republican?

Most people knew she had been a CIA officer, she said, recounting the speech. But in her 20s, she worked in the law enforcement arm of the U.S. Postal Service, on narcotics and child exploitation cases.

As the only Spanish speaker during most arrests, she said she told them, “I was the one walking in the door. I was the one yelling, ‘Put your hands up.’ . . . I was the one dealing with crying children, telling them that we were taking their Daddy away. . . . I was the one talking to a crying wife, saying why we were arresting her spouse.”

Thoughts on impeachment:

She does not support impeachment and wants Congress to continue investigating the Trump administration.

“Congress has the role of asking questions because we should want to get to the bottom of things,” she said.

THAT’S WHAT IMPEACHMENT IS

And what has all of this principled moderatism gotten her? Surprise, surprise:

They joined with Republicans to pass the Senate bill and hand Pelosi and the liberals a defeat.

Still, the National Republican Congressional Committee routinely attacks Spanberger for voting most of the time with Pelosi and “socialist leader AOC,” referring to Ocasio-Cortez of New York.

The only Republican running against her so far, Tina Ramirez, tweeted a nearly identical message.
