Typical left wing newspapers gotta go!
how is this not onion
oh it looks like they ninja-edited the article headline
They changed the headline. It says so at the bottom of the article.
They do that a lot when then get dunked on by Twitter.
I think that’s whats kind of shocking about it is that the Republicans keep getting worse and worse and the NYT and WP keep doubling down on both-sidesing everything. Its like no matter what the Rs do they are too busy navel gazing to confront it. When the Rs put them on trains to the execution camps they will still be banging away on their laptops with articles like “How Biden’s Disaster In Afghanistan Paved The Way For Totalitarianism”.
I don’t think it’s navel gazing. I think there’s a very clear directive on what to write, if not outright assignments. The headlines (as we all know they aren’t made by the authors) speak for themselves. The journalists worked their whole lives to get where they are and like almost everyone in that sort of career-is-my-life scenario, when push comes to shove theyre gonna do what they’re told.
Its clear that a ton of them are True Believers in Journalism as The Fourth Estate, that they are Fair And Unbiased Truth Tellers, and that society just can’t live without them and their way is The Way. Just ask one.
At least the replies are satisfying

Bet you can guess who wrote this one
They have watched their cities and towns transformed as scores of tent encampments have sprung up in their parks and residential neighborhoods. They worry about the safety of those living unsheltered on the streets who are vulnerable to crime, but they are also unnerved by the high number of unsheltered people who suffer from serious mental health issues and substance abuse problems living in close proximity to their homes. They are angry about the reams of trash, discarded clothing and belongings that have piled up along their roadways.
