I doubt that. Donnie Dumb Dumb thinks all those countries full of brown people are loser shithole countries to kick around. It seems more likely that because he couldn’t think of an obvious way to personally collect bribes or kickbacks from a war he couldn’t see the point.
Who is “themselves”? It sounds like the praise is for a reporter from The Ringer, which really isn’t “themselves” by any reasonable definition. Unless I missed it, she doesn’t work for WAPO in any capacity. Or even the MSM for that matter. Unless we’re counting The Ringer as MSM, which would be quite a stretch.
