And on top of that, it doesn’t say what people’s solutions are to violent crime are.
Like, yeah, violent crime is a problem.
I don’t think the answer to that is to increase the police budget by a factor of 5.
Let’s start with:
- Better mental health services
- More opportunities for the youth of this country
- Treating drug addiction as a medical and not a criminal issue
- Making sure people don’t go hungry
- And probably a zillion other things I can’t think of right now
