What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Except Threesomes.

Traveled along with my parents and they’ve got high rewards at both MGM and Caesars cuz they’re slot donks so they got me a Jr suite (I think) at Aria and it’s pretty sweet.

Just started up a 1/2 PLO session at Aria and got pretty lucky in a big pot where I flopped NFD and overpair against likely set and oversetted him on turn. Game seems pretty good, no one else good, couple competent, and a handful splashing around a lot.

Might try to get in the 5/5 PLO if I win decent this session.

Yah, saw one in one of the ads running on the screen in my room and it looked good, gonna have to check it out.

Aria has a serious lack of TVs in their room. Was hoping to be able to catch some Olympics while playing.

I’ve been sunrunning tho and table seems quite good so I can’t complain. The 1/2 plays pretty big bc the bring in is 5 and they allow open raises to 15. Seems like stacks are going in like 35-40% of flops.

Game got super meh after the 2 main spots went out, lots of nits and super weak tight fish. Figured it was time to go when it folded to me on the button one hand.

Bought in for 500, out for 2600 in just over 3 hours, great night of sunrunning 1/2 PLO.

These games are absurdly easy in the sense that I basically never had a remotely difficult decision. Don’t think I got 3 bet even once even though I was probably raising 50%. Thought I’d get limp ripped on a couple times w/AA, but nope, they’re ecstatic to limp then call 25 every hand. Even had a guy calling me down when I only had 2nd pair NFD, nut gutter, and a great river bluff card for him that I was folding, but nope, he checks back and my hand is good.

Aria casino is super packed though, I wonder if it will cool down a bit mid week. If the PLO is more like it was to end the session, then I doubt I’ll be playing much. Live just isn’t that much fun for me unless the table is great and I’m getting playable hands.

Had Earl of Sandwich, which was fine, but hoping my parents have some nice steak dinners planned. I think they get plenty of food credit, so should be doable.

Why is all the food posted in this thread so wet?

What are you playing? I’ll probably be in the 1/2 PLO at Aria, but not until like 3ish.

My parents are somehow crushing. Mum hit 2 jackpots and is up 4k in slots. She’s been in the high limit slots room at Aria, can’t imagine how fast that can go bad. Dud struck big in video poker with a royal and up like 3k. Line is still -250 that they leave Vegas loser in 3 days.

I went to Harrah’s KC with my bro and sis in law last week and they were playing $1-9 a spin slots (and don’t really have the roll to be betting that high, unlike my parents). The degen gene is strong in my family, luckily I don’t seem to have it.

Anyone tried the new resorts world poker room?

No, but was thinking about heading over there to check everything out tomorrow night, maybe play PLO if they have it (doubtful). Could try to snap some pics for the thread.

i, um, played bad earlier today in the 5/5 and left. I thought I was inducing a bluff. Instead I induced a raise from someone who hit a two-outer. Might go back later, but I really want to play in the 8/16 TORSE (HORSE minus hold em plus triple draw) that they are trying to run at the Sahara.

Resorts World is on Poker Atlas so you can see what games they have. Apparently right now your choices are 1/3 NL or 100/200 PLO. It sounds like you’re a PLO player, so I say go for it.

I was thinking of going to Tacos El Gordo for the first time, then walking across the street to Resorts World.

see post above.

going solo to tacos el gordo is extremely -ev. the lines are so long and they are per meat type (one for pastor, one for steak, one for tasty meats). If you go alone it’s basically impossible to get pastor + lengua/cabeza/etc because it will take hours.

How is the level of play in the 5/5 compared to 1/2? Was debating playing in it, but I’m kind of a bankroll pussy and content in the 1/2 for now.

Do it, it’s really good.
