It was like a decade ago. Lol.

I’ll say it was something like a 3 to the power of 5-some! :grinning:

I’m okay with vintage porn.

Its going to be weird when vintage porn is the stuff where the women shaved

Well, all the women I started with when I first watched porn are now in the GILF category on most sites!

I hit up these clubs. Red Rooster had a reopening party last week and it was packed. Whisper’s was open as of Memorial day and has been fun. What used to be the Studios has reopened as 5150. I rolled through with a partner a few weeks ago and it’s not as good as it used to be. Good Luck getting a threesome as a solo male. It took me like months at a club to land one. I had better luck with solo females. Bring a lady with you and it’s a much better experience.

Ya it’s been a few years since I’ve been at Vegas but it’s not near as good as a decade ago.

I am always amazed at the solo males. I’ve only been to a club a few times solo and it’s so difficult. Going with a partner makes it a million times more fun.

Going gambling on Saturday, any veteran craps players got tips for a noob? I’ve never played before, my only experience is with an app I downloaded and have been using to learn on. I get the basics but still don’t have a firm grasp of the finer points of the game, what bets to make, which ones to avoid/sucker bets, etiquette, that sort of thing so I don’t looking like a moron and get yelled at by other players and or the pit bosses. TIA

The #1 thing that will get you yelled at is taking the dice off the table or putting them anywhere but the table or your hand, even for a second. They have to replace them if you do that.

Just toss quarter chips on the layout and scream out hard 6 hopping every roll. They’ll love you.

Delmonico was just okayish. I had way better meals there in the past

Final day & wrap-up.

Day 4: Work was actually busy. After 10 days on the road we’re just trying to finish up any areas we missed. I spent an hour on Dean Martin Blvd, then hopped over to Mt. Charleston, did a couple more uphill/downhill tests. I swung into In’n’out for a burger, shake, and fries. I haven’t had In’n’out in almost a decade. It’s better than I remembered, especially for the price. I snuck into Mandalay Bay to grab a couple souvenir’s, then back to work, wrapping up around 5. All around a pretty standard work trip.

Last night for gambling/poker. I hadn’t hung out with my co-workers hardly at all in Vegas, as I usually just go straight to a poker room after work, even eating dinner there. 4 of us walked over to Silver Sevens for some craps. They have a weird set up there with a half sized table and everything is run by one dealer. It’s a bit slower, but it works. It was just the 4 of us playing. We each drop $200. The first few rolls went pretty good, and I’m up $100. Then I got a bit more aggressive and the rolls got shorter. After 8 rolls (each of us twice) I’m down $25. Some who bet a few less place #'s then me won. Good enough.

I am thinking of going to the Sahara to play. They have a $4 rake and I’d like to support rooms that do stuff like that. But they also only have a single $1/$2 table going, and it’s my last night with over $1k burning a hole in my pocket, so back to the Wynn (where I know I can get dinner at the table) for some $2/$5 it is.

I buy in for $500, prepared to fire 2 bullets and call it a night if things go south. I had heard these games play deep, but the whole table has me comfortably covered and then some. Early in the session, with a bit less than my initial stake, I pick up AA UTG. Open to $15 and get 3 calls. Flop is J84 with 2 clubs. I bet $30, get raised to $100, and a call behind. I rip it in, original raiser folds, and another guy calls with a flush draw. Despite pairing one of his cards on the turn, I hold, and get an early double. We finally get a grumpy douchey player and I got the pleasure of busting him. I open AT of diamonds on the button and both blinds call. Flop QJ7 with one diamond. Douche in the SB leads, $20, I call. Turn is the 8 of diamonds. Douche bets $20, I call. River is a 3rd diamond, he checks, I jam, he calls, throws a mini-tantrum about runner runner and walks off.

The table was awesome. 8 other fun players, all having fun, most drinking, and no one getting grumpy or whiney about stuff. We were doing bomb pots at dealer changes and straddles were frequent. It was one of the best live tables I’ve ever been at, if not the best. I hadn’t really lost any pots of significance. At 11:30 it’s inflection point time. I either go back and get a few hours sleep before the flight, or call it a night now. I cash out over $2300, head back, get a few hours of sleep, then head to the airport.

Despite getting there by 4:20 for a 6am flight, we still cut it close. I go through the wrong security line so I have quite a hike around the terminal, swing through somewhere for some breakfast and snacks, and get to the gate as the flight starts boarding. The edible I took on the way to help me sleep on the plane may have had something to do with it. Halfway back to Detroit, somewhere over central Nebraska, we hit the worst turbulence I’ve ever felt in a plane. It felt like the plane was falling out of the sky. Some people were starting to panic a bit. The flight attendants had everyone who was out of their seats just rush back to the nearest open seat. I checked the flight info and we dropped from 39k to 30k feet pretty quickly. It felt like we were on a roller coaster. The pilot apologized after things settled. There were a few more bumps, but the rest of it went well.

Overall it was a pretty good Vegas trip. I use Lyft for ride sharing as there is something wrong with my Uber account and I can’t recover it. Lyft prices have doubled in 2 years, and there can be some long waits for the “cheaper” rate. Regular taxi’s back to my hotel were cheaper and more convenient than Lyft’s. I’ll probably do that from now on. The Wynn is probably where I’ll put in most of my future Vegas sessions. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to play there (it’s location is really the reason). Sorry for the lack of threesomes, my days of even trying for those are well behind me.

Are we supposed to believe that your aces held up? I’d probably believe a wild threesome story first.

The first hand of live NL I every played, I raised in EP with AA, got 6 callers, bet the flop and turn with multiple callers, and won after the river checked through.

I ran remarkably bad at all in ev which makes live poker a very depressing experience. I’ve literally lost every all-in pot i got in before the river. It’s a meaningless sample but being on the wrong end of it is annoying. legit tilted last night after a six hour grind on a slow table ended with 88<qt on qt8 for 600bb vs an asshole followed by him immediately leaving.

I still get tilted by people being assholes at the table which is cleary on me, because people will always be assholes.

Also consumed way too much caffeine which is a vegas leak i need to fix if i want to this again.

Running like ass at poker is one of the worst feelings. Especially when you are playing on a budget where a downswing can shorten your time at the tables. It’s like getting punched in the stomach repeatedly. I can handle it better when I know I just ran bad, but when I take a huge loss and I know I made a mistake, it gets hard to get out of my own head after that. Sorry dude. May the next sessions go in your favor.

I always equate to being like God is continually kicking you in the nuts.

Play limit.

So like, get kicked in the nuts repeatedly regardless of outcome?

Yes but the kicks are less painful. Think of it as a death by a thousand cuts.
