What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Except Threesomes.

For reference I took an uber from Circa’s Garage Majal last Friday around midnight. I waited 10 minutes but it was $34 bucks back to the Linq.

Can confirm, do not try to do what 2 extremely daft Scotsmen attempted to do one afternoon in February.

Never had issues walking in Vegas myself, except you’re more likely to get hit by a driver there than most other places. Just drink a lot of water and pay attention to your surroundings. And try not to do it when you’ve got a lot of cash on you, just in case.

Most walks in Vegas are pretty boring, though. Other than the Strip, it’s super-wide roads and strip malls as far as the eye can see.

Walking from off strip to the strip sucks a, but I find something about walking the length of the strip to be really enjoyable. I’ve usually done the Wynn to Aria or vice versa walk at least a couple times each trip at all hours of the day/night. There’s just so much to look at, great people watching, wide walkways, pedestrian overpasses, and I’ve always felt safe. It’s oddly one of my favorite things to do in Vegas.

I took Uber/Lyft to and from the airport and out to the racetrack in way north Vegas. The only one that was a little hard to get was one from the airport to the hotel, the others came within 5-10 minutes

I know Americans are weirdly allergic to buses for some reason but I found the bus service in Vegas to be pretty damn good. 2 bucks and no tip seems better than 40 plus tip to me too.

I was in a plo game at bellagio in 2017 or 2018 where a semi vip (winning poker player but drunk and -ev in this game) who just got back from the club and is blasting off hard with a chick sitting next to him. A discussion about running to the rio comes up and a big life nit is offered 10k by the vip if he can run from bellagio poker room to rio wsop poker room in under 15 minutes.

Life nit declines but throws it back and says I’ll bet you 5k you can’t make it to the front of the rio in 10 minutes. VIP is early 30s and fit but drunk. He says not only will he do it, he’ll stay on FaceTime the whole time. He finishes a hand he’s in and takes off on a dead sprint toward the north valet and laughs his way to the rio on FaceTime the whole time in 8.5 minutes.

Life nit purchases 10 racks of red and puts them in the VIPs stack.

So many people make this mistake. I swear the road between rio and Caesar’s is paved with regret from out of shape dudes thinking “that’s pretty close”.

I love walking, but not in 115 degrees.

I mean, it is pretty close — barely a mile — but once you’re crossing I-15, there is literally nowhere to hide from the sun and it turns into a death march. I’ve only ever done that walk in the morning when the casinos block it out. I’d do it midday on a bet, but I wouldn’t be happy about it.

Just to clarify, this was me talking about walking from McCarron Airport to the Strip…

We walked the strip just about every morning after the night out  As its the best thing to do to help sleep & getting to grab a coffee and donuts on the way.

Ha. Same. I very much dislike really hot weather so I’ve never been in the summer and each time I’ve been its rained. Highs of like 75-80. Walking the strip is some of the most fun I’ve had there. I have no plans to go in the extreme heat ever.

Lol, walking from LAS may be the most subversive thing you could do in America. Idk, feels like this is something that could get shipped out to Guantanamo.

I’ve done 22k steps both days in the 115 degree heat. I urge you not to walk from the airport.

So, during one Vegoose, Dave Matthews Band played Sam Boyd Stadium in the evening. It sucked. Frat bros and their gfs all over. We saw the shuttle lines building and didn’t want to wait after the concert so bailed on one of our friends who is a hardcore DNB fan. He’s pissed and wasted crying and shit and the shuttle lines are a few hour wait after the concert so he starts walking to the strip. A limo driver felt sorry for him somewhere along the way and picked him up.

We also walked into our hotel room that trip and he had met a couple that were like 15-20 years older than us at a strip club during the day and they were babysitting him because he could barely talk lmao.

lol I’m not flying in, I’m driving. But I’m staying at the Embassy Suites near the Virgin. That walk is doable, I’ve done it several times, even in the heat. It’s about 15 minutes to Ballys or 20ish to MGM.
But I’d prefer to get a Lyft because every minute spent walking or waiting on a car is money I’m not degening it up, which is what I want to focus my limited time on.

Edit: Plus I want to play at the Wynn and Sahara, much much longer walks.

Question about driving to Vegas. From NE California, is the better route through Nevada or south through Cali and then across the 15?

I assume there is far less traffic through Nevada, but also more opportunity for a car to break down in the middle of nowhere with no ability to contact anyone, no cell service, and possible abduction by hill people.

I paid $60.98 for a round trip from Sac to Vegas. Why would you drive that?

The only good reason for me to drive (other than fear of flight or something) is to do Yosemite and go out of Tioga, but that still like 5 hours of a very boring drive.

Wait where did you get 30 dollar one way tickets?
