What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Except Threesomes.

I’ve only ever slept once on a plane. I was coming back from Vegas and used points to upgrade to business class.

The next morning after we landed, the guy behind me asked what I thought of all the flight attendants fawning over the guy next to me the entire flight…I look over and there’s Wayne Gretzky and his son getting off the plane. I realized he was sitting across from me in the terminal with his hat down the entire time and I had no idea it was him.

I ended up standing right behind him in the customs line, and I was so tired, and groggy from the sleeping pill, and nervous because I had lost my passport on the flight down and only had a letter from the Canadian consulate in LA to get me across the border, that I couldn’t think of a damn thing to say.

+1 to fuck Dubai.

I’m fairly strongly against the Maldives too which mrs j is keen on, considering the shitty conditions the locals live in and the human rights record there.

Corsica for a med break without the worst tourists and Seville as a city break remain my favourites.

I fell asleep from de gaulle to bangalore and woke up and looked at the map and we were 50 miles from Tehran. That was um a shock.

The outcome of the big wheel spin isnt decided until the second you hit the spin button after winning the bonus. Obviously the majority of the RNG outcomes are set for the lower values, but certainly not rigged. Ive seen somebody win both the 10K at low limits and the 40K at high limits live

Yeah, I guess that’s what I’m wondering…whether they have to hit a prescribed percentage of times over time based on some kind of formula. I mean, can it be compared to a scratch off lottery ticket for example? The randomness there is rooted in the purchase the winning ticket and not from the mechanics of the scratching.

Thats a good question. Machines by law im NV are required to pay out a certain amount in total. I would be surprised if there are certain rules governing whether a bonus must pay out at a certain amount over the life of the machine so long as the machine itself hits the payoff threshhold through regular line hits.

However, most game manufacturers would much rather hit the payout threshhold through bonuses. Nobody is going to tweet out they were up 20 bucks today on a machine without a single bonus. They will make tweets and videos of winning $500 on the bonus wheel though, even if theyve already lost $650 to the machine at that point

Slots are programmed to hit a certain percentage of payback over an infinite number of spins and it’s up to the slot maker to decide the probability of each individual outcome to get to that percentage. There’s no due theory of slots where a machine is more likely to pay out a big jackpot because none have been hit recently.

It’s also upto the casino when they can change over the % and nothing stops them doing it as it produces a new starting point(New RNG etc) & customers will not know the difference.

There’s stuff the operators can do that’s legal and avoid jackpots, large payouts etc & it’s why Vegas % are down so low, it could take more than the average life of a machine in the casino of a machines program to payout the big hits and as that’s the way there programmed its extremely sneeky.

Sticking to the main casinos usually helps avoid most of that sneeky stuff though, but not always.

The graphics on digital games of chance are literally just for show. The outcome of any given bet is determined when the bet is made, and then graphics are generated to match. You can kind of see this in action if you play any bonuses on the online sportsbooks/casinos. As soon as you click spin your bonus balance will update and you can tell if the spin is a winner or not before the graphics stop.

Oh…I see These chance games must be our Fixed Odd Betting Terminals… On ours in the UK you can play a range of games on them from Slots to Roulette + others, I don’t know the full range as I’m never in a bookmakers etc.

On them you will see that the machines will have updates to the software and game play as the machines adjust and every update on them will reset the RNG giving the book an additional advantage.

Can you also just play a selection of games on these digital games in Vegas now too? If so wow, I didn’t think you people would allow that tbh.

this morning at the supermarket (not in Vegas) I watched a guy stand by the cash register where they sell lottery tickets. He was buying tickets, scratching off the bottom line that must be scanned (so, not “playing” the game), running them through the scanner and then and handing them directly back to the cashier. I don’t know how long he did this, but he noticed me waiting and let me go ahead,

Probably about half of people who buy do this.

In the last year the 7-11 by my house seems to have acquired 2-3x as many lottery players. I’m always in line behind them.

I play the lottery. It’s $2-3 … ocassionally I win a few dollars. the max investment in a year is $312. I’m fine with losing $250 a year for the fun routine and daydreams…

Also love Quick Draw while sitting at the bar. Terrible odds, Plays like Keno, but worse odds I think. … But a $10 ticket is like 30 minutes of watching numbers so that’s pretty good value (lol obv $20 gotta play the multiplier).

One would be better to set aside $10,000 lifetime lottery dollars vs spending it a few bucks at time over the years. Then bet it all on one drawing.

Or course, they could recognize the 25,000 it grew to as nice vacations, a nice used car etc.

But yeah put me in the little at a time so I can daydream.

Winning the lottery would probably ruin my life. No daydreams over here.

Last trip to Vegas I passed 6 hours, 10 minutes (thanks Google maps!) here drinking bottomless rose, watching college football, and befriending randoms.

lol apparently i had a 3rd booking because I was a moron a year ago. I called the Bellagio to cancel it, they said I can’t without paying a fee. I said okay I want to move it. She said fine, please hold.

Changed it to July something thinking okay i’ll cancel it tomorrow.
She comes back “Oh and btw you can’t cancel this reservation without a penalty”.
Now I gotta find a way out of that one.

Lol if there’s no penalty for moving it just keep moving it every few months until either you or the Bellagio are in the ground.
