Ate and hung out with the Mrs in the room for a while then dropped $600 on roulette and pai gow, couldn’t win a fucking hand at pai gow almost all pushes and losses. I had a bunch of really nice high hands so the stupid fortune bonus would have paid off but I never play it.
Blackjack mins on the main floor when I went down were mostly $100 with a couple $50 tables thrown in (those were full). After midnight I think they dropped it to $50 and there were a couple $25 tables by the sportsbook.
I had unusually bad luck with Pai Gow too, as I think I mentioned in one of my very few trip reports. The only time I won was when I went downtown and played at the Nugget. They were still playing face down but with a different rule from the A-Hi push rule. They made it an automatic push every time the dealer’s two card hand had the high card of 9. That only happened once while I was playing. But I must have lost like seven straight pai gow sessions at South Point, and really never got ahead in any of them. Basically just straight downhill with a few minor fluctuations.
That was my little session, i think i only won 4 or 5 hands in a couple hours of play and there were only 2 of us at the table so we were moving pretty quick. Cosmo still has face down with a 5% commission they aren’t running face up yet
Umiya Sushi was recommended to me a few years back by a poker player at the table who had gotten his recommendation from a friend who was a chef at Mon Ami Gabi.
Sadly, they did not have uni. Tempura ice cream not pictured. If I wasn’t worried about getting sick, I probably could have packed away 6-8 more orders of nigiri
I come from a place where Sushi outside one or two super high end places is total garbage, so the one time I had AYCE sushi in vegas it was pretty damn tasty for my ignorant ass. I should do that again.
What’s in the hand rolled picture? Looks slightly weird
