Wynn is definitely the nicest place to play poker in Vegas, if not the country. Great coffee and non alch drinks. I’m sure the booze is good too. Aren’t the Omaha games 8 max too?
PLO is nine-handed, but I basically don’t care if the table is full or heads-up.
Speaking of free booze, what are people’s go to orders? I always feel bad asking their entire beer list and up ordering stuff i see at the table.
I try to get something different from the previous session.
Makers and Ginger, Modelo, IPA, G&T.
Jack and coke and I can tell if it’s real jack or off brand bourbon. Last time I checked I got it at venetian and golden nugget.

Do you just say “whatever IPA you got” or do you ask the poor lady in a demeaning outfit that has 5000 orders to pass along from people who speak directly at her breasts to list their beer offerings?

I usually just go with “a local ipa” please. Adds a little mystery to it!
I really hope COVID didn’t permanently shrink the business convention. Those are always some juicy games. I remember an accounting convention at MGM a few years back that had the games littered with middle aged dorks who thought they were analytical geniuses but played like a typicaly salty 2+2er who just learned about pot odds yesterday and whines when you get there against them. It was my biggest live win ever.

The bull riders / rodeo convention was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before or since. It has to be worth it for every pro in the country to fly in for that.
Based on how successful the big tech conferences were as completely online events in 2020, there will be a major online component of all of them going forward. For example, Amazon’s cloud tech conference will be $1800 for live, or … free for online. Maybe I’ll split the difference and watch from a Vegas hotel room.
I don’t know about other industries – concrete seems difficult to do online though.
I don’t like to jaywalk in Las Vegas.
