What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Except Threesomes.

The table by this point had morphed into a bunch of regs who seemed to mostly know each other and not a bunch of tourists. I kind of stood out. They weren’t pros, but they weren’t clueless. It was your typical low limit PLO table without light preflop 3betting. I could steal a few small pots after the flop in the right situation.

Wtf happened to this thread. I am here for debauchery with no regard for stds and I get top set folding for a half pot bet on the turn with additional outs and no flush draw to worry about?

Also, can we get some Vegas food trip reports up in this mfer?

Larabars ain’t gonna cut it.

I just ate at the Cornerstone at Gold Coast, making use of the $20 off $50 coupon.

New York strip with mushrooms and a loaded baked potato.

Washed it down with a single of ten year Old Rip Van Winkle, neat.

I’m too stuffed to play right now.

Also, I have coupons for BOGO games of bowling and some bingo deal at the Gold Coast.

Last night I saw an old man with a wheelchair and a dog by his side looking out through the glass on the walkway between PH and Aria/Cosmopolitan. As he did this, he was pissing into a clear, plastic soda cup. It was a dark amber color, so he clearly needs to drink more water.

A man with a cardboard sign was begging as he walked between cars at a stoplight on Spring Mountain. I didn’t think to dig into my stuff and toss him a granola bar and a water. I feel bad about that.

They did not skimp on the mushrooms. Gold Coast bowling is the closest I have been to a fight as an adult. I was bowling there at 3am hammered and the morons on the lane one ball return over literally kept taking our bowling balls and bowling with it. I asked why they were being assholes and to kindly fuck off to blank stares and it dawned on me maybe they didn’t even realize that was rude or something and that was that.

The 1/2 PLO at Aria doesn’t sound that great. I’m way less excited about my trip in late July. I hate live as it is, but was willing to put up with 3-4 days if the games were juicy.

When I was there a couple months ago the 1/2 looked like drooler central and the 5/5 seemed like typical bad regs. But playing poker at Aria isn’t the most fun experience.

Debating if I’ll give the 5/5 a shot or just play 1/2 and have fun since I won’t really have to be locked in all the time. I guess there aren’t too many options besides Aria if you’re looking for PLO.

Oh, God, my legs are so sore. I’m glad I brought my massage gun, but I may have to figure out which places in Chinatown are legit for massage and not a rub and tug.

Yeah let us know which ones are just rub & tugs so I can like totally avoid those places.

99% of Vegas time is spent wandering around randomly gambling, eating, drinking, and playing low stakes poker poorly. 1% threesomes. We’re all here for the 1%.

I’ll snap take the under.

This wasn’t going to be a grinding trip for me. It’s a vacation with some tournaments and a few cash sessions. I can play cash back home. When I go to Vegas, I try to play the stuff I can’t do at home. That’s tournaments and cash outside of NL/PLO. I was disappointed that Big O wasn’t running at Aria despite a list long enough for a full table.

Is downtown Vegas worth checking out for a night? I literally know nothing about it. Seems like it could be fun for general debauchery?

Downtown is definitely a different vibe. There’s more weird street performances, outdoor concerts/music, and some quirky restaurants with some decent dive bars (I like Mickey Finns). They have some weird rules on alcohol outdoors. You can only buy from the casino based bars on the street, and most shops won’t let you in with an open container, but on the street or in the casinos are fine. Golden Nugget has uncapped 1/2 and can make for some wild and crazy games. Downtown is definitely polarizing. Some love it, some hate it. I usually make a point to spend 1 of my 4 nights there.

I have a friend who absolutely refuses to go down there now. We were in a group walking next to a parking garage while some guy was pissing off the top ledge. My friend took the brunt of the stream.

That all seems like a blast and a good switch up from the Strip. We’re already planning on doing Omega Mart / Lotus of Siam on Saturday so we’ll probably just head downtown after since it’s relatively close.

Circa is worth the trip downtown, especially if there’s a game worth watching in their sports book.

There should be an NBA playoff game, which would be fun I’m sure.
