so if i do this at the venetian poker room, do you think I’ll receive the same treatment as DN?
Reading this thread has me jonesing a bit for some poker. I haven’t played a single hand of poker since the 2019 WSOP.
Driving to Vegas tomorrow. I vacillate between moments of excitement, anxiety about my first time in a year going into a business where there isn’t a mask requirement, and absolute indifference that is my advantage as a poker player.
It sucks
I’m in a similar boat. I’ve played online off and on, but nothing scratches the itch like a live poker table with fun people.
I played live poker 1 to 2 times a week before the pandemic for fun & fuckin around money. Michigan legalized online poker in January and honestly I’ll probably only play live poker when I find myself at casinos or in Vegas for other reasons. Good news is I plan on crushing the Vegas games in a few weeks.
I just checked into my room at Planet Hollywood.
Trip report please!!!
The extent of my poker playing these days is playing a $25 tournament at the local cigar lounge on Fridays.
All you need to know about it is that I have not been able to convince them in 2 years that there is no need to push a small blind and big blind button around the table every hand. They just can’t grasp the concept that the deck signifies the dealer and where the blinds are, or worst case is we should push a dealer button around too. No convincing.
I wonder if the organizers saw the Small Blind and Big Blind chips among the poker supplies and thought they were like Buttons rather than being “missed blind” chips?
If so, I think it’s hilarious.
Pics!
I’m certain that’s what happened. Now I can’t talk them out of it.
But I’ve won the just two I played so I’m not complaining…
Ugh when I was going through my divorce the home game I got going was generally hosted by bluffy mcblufferson who would claim that check-raise was illegal the first four or five times we played. (3x $20 single table turbos essentially). Even though i generally ran them over (can’t remember not at least breaking even) it was still a pay cut from going tot he casino. Man could grill though. Brought back day old salmon from Alaska fishing trip the one time.
lol $4k for 3 bottles of champagne
If I spent $8600 I sure as shit would have a nicer lunch than chicken tenders and tacos
I’ll update occasionally, with the caveat that I will probably omit reports of tournaments which are reported to Hendon Mob if I cash.
That is actually something I’ve always wondered about. How does Hendon mob reporting work exactly? I always assumed that someone from the website went through tournament results and put them up on the site. Are you saying that tournaments send their results to the site to be cataloged. If so, which ones?
The casinos report it, or so I was told by one TD. Maybe the major ones get scraped, but some places submit rinky dinky dailies. The ones with results in the database are the ones that suit, ldo.
