What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Except Threesomes.

Bazaar Meat was a fun experience and really reasonably priced. You do have to go to the Sahara though.

Where are you staying?

I think SW @ Wynn is a great steakhouse if you’re looking for steaks.

ETA: Bazaar Meat is worth the trip to the Sahara. Get the tasting menu.

Cotton Candy Foie Gras and the olives 3 ways were really fun. Steak was also elite. Definitely recommend the tasting menu.

If you’re even average profiency for the OOT steak thread, SW is kind of a waste. You can do the same thing yourself at least as good.

Bazaar Meat stuff is far more interesting, imo. Also likely not stuff you would do yourself unless you’re Chef Wookie.

yea OOT steak thread ruined me for restaurant steaks

True. But that’s not an SW issue. SW is a good steakhouse, but yeah, it’s steak, you can do it at home

Ya i was there for that. Although it was a waterfall in ceasers poker room that I saw that night. People were still playing through it which I got a good laugh about.

I actually came here to post about going to Kabuto. I had never been before. I thought it was excellent (did the higher end omakase + sake pairing) but it felt like the last few courses didn’t live up to the first 6-7 and were fairly mailed in. You get an insane amount of high quality sushi/japanese fair for $175 though. I was planning to order some extra nigiri off the list as were others in our group and none of us could manage it. The sake pairing was also a ton of booze it felt like.

We had an amberjack soup for the 2nd course and it was one of the few perfect food items I have ever had in my life. The sashimi and nigiri courses were of course excellent also.

Hey guys looking for some recommendations!

A little Background - BIL’s 50th in late December and his other half wants to surprise him with Vegas Dec 26th to Jan 1 and has invited our family too. Great except here’s the problem, they have a 10 yr old boy & 5 yr old girl and have never shown any gambling inclination ever. I think its just a bucket list thing. We have an 18 yr old son and a 19yr old daughter. They are staying at the 4 seasons and we are going to stay at Mandalay Bay.

We are doing a couple of things together - Cirque Love, Helicopter to Grand C., Neon Museum.

Looking for suggestions on any kid friendly outing where I can be the cool uncle.

Also with my kids I’m thinking of maybe going to a gun range and maybe even doing a supercar thing. Anyone have any experience or recommendations on where to go for these? Any other older teen recommendations greatly appreciated too - they are both at college so these don’t have to include being with boring old mum and dad.

I have toured Hoover Dam and done an aerial tour of the Grand Canyon. However, 3 of the 5 members of my family puked on the latter.

I haven’t done the supercar track stuff but I’ve done go karts at that spot and they were a ton of fun.

Actually we did the karts at the LV Motor Speedway north of town but the ones in that link look similar

Maybe let them see Freemont St. downtown and ride the slotline.
No age requirement and just a 50lb weight minimum.

10 yr old will probably be easier to entertain in Vegas than the 5 yr old. The pinball museum is probably a good idea.

If the shark exhibit is still at mandalay that’s probably a good one too.

Maybe the History Museum and Springs Preserve.

And probably the Advernturedome @ circus circus.

5 year old in Vegas is a tough one for sure.

Not Vegas specific, but my bachelor brothers took my 5 year old daughter to get a full face paint butterfly deal at Disney over 20 years ago. She still talks about.

This is not the best start to a Vegas trip. I went to the Venetian to meet up with a friend and end up hopping into a satellite for a tournament I don’t even want to play. At some point I do my standard dumbass play of thinking that my playing three hands in two hours means I can jam with any two cards and steal a pot after 3-4 limpers. In this case, any two cards is 72o in the SB and the BB with a monster stack rejams with A7o.

That’s not the bad part, though. After busting, I get up, take one step, and promptly trip over the BB’s backpack, since he didn’t have it from his seat or stick it under his chair or the table like a normal person does. I stumble, which carries me far enough to land on the uncarpeted part of the casino floor. I’ve limped to my room and my body is starting to ache a bit more. I guess I might look for a massage tomorrow.

I’m at Aria today. Gonna play a little cash and bet some Breeders Cup.

Had Carbone and Best Friend so far for food. Both were amazing.
