What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Except Threesomes.

These are all valid points and I think finding a family in need and buying for them is also a superior option.

With that being said, the act of gift giving can be a reflection of thought and effort.

I’m a last minute asshole most years but if you get started early there’s a much higher chance you can find something that shows you put some thought into it.

Geez, I thought this was just my family.

It’s worse with my wife’s side because no one puts any thought at all into gifts and so we just end up shuffling gift cards and/or cash around every year.

Enforced gifts do indeed suck unless you know the person is broke and could really use the item.

Spontaneous gifts when you see something a loved one would like are amazing.

Gifts and spontaneity are like sex and consent. Both are amazing with but horrific without.

I’m ok if you all want to schedule sending me gifts.

My family was planning this precovid, now almost everyone on that side is antivaxx. Sigh.

Seems like a blessing in disguise.

I don’t think I will make it out to Vegas in time, but maybe the Caesars poker room will have more dumbasses than usual at the tables while this runs for three days, starting on October 15.

This year’s event, dubbed “The Great Reset: Climate Realism Vs. Climate Socialism,” will dive headfirst into the conspiracy that world governments are simply using climate change to control people’s lives.

“The global climate agenda, as promoted by the United Nations, is to overhaul the entire global economy, usher in socialism, and forever transform society as one in which individual liberty and economic freedom are crushed,” reads a description of the event.

The list of keynote speakers is a who’s who of the denial movement, including William Happer, the retired Princeton University physics professor who served as an adviser to President Donald Trump and has declared Earth is in the midst of a “CO2 famine”; Myron Ebell, director of the right-wing Competitive Enterprise Institute who led the Trump EPA transition team and was a key figure in Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the historic Paris climate agreement; and Steve Milloy, a former cigarette and coal lobbyist who also served on the Trump EPA transition team.

Flights booked for the family trip. December 20-24th. $220 round trip. 4 nights at the Cosmo for $750. Can’t believe they actually suggested this.

My offers are thinning out since i didn’t gamble much in my last two trips. Current comped offers are MGM Park (+50 dollars food), MGM Grand (Grand Tower), Mirage, NoMad, Delano, NY NY, Luxor.

There’s very little chance i’ll be able to make it but might as well dream. Are any of these habitable? Whats the ranking?

I got Vdara which i assume is the best but only 1 night

I’ve stayed at Delano, it was nice but the location sucks

We stayed at Park in August, and it was nice. I think Nomad is the top floor of Park, and should be a big step up. I wouldn’t stay at NYNY or Luxor, and I think the MGM Grand can be a really long walk to get to strip. Delano also is a long way back from the strip.

Anyone have Italian recommendation?. I want to take my wife’s family out for pasta after the wedding. They have very very very conservative taste so I’m not looking for anything incredibly unique. So far I’m thinking Scarpetta but not sure.

Rao’s?

Depending on how conservative, the hotel that is hosting the QAnon conference has a pretty good Italian restaurant inside. (Chef Marc’s)

I said conservative taste not conservative values fuckers :)
