This new song from DBT will resonate with a lot of fellow progressives here.
@JohnnyTruant we go back, this is just a bonus track:
KRS-One is such a beast, I don’t know why we need any other rappers. It’s like, what’s the point.
KRS is like 5,000 years old and he’s still more intense and relevant right now than anyone else out there. Who else is bringing it this hard? Drake? Fuck off. From the 80’s to the 2020’s, KRS-One just does not compromise.
The existence of B grade music makes you appreciate A grade music all the more.
When I’m working on the computer I like to listen to stuff that’s not too distracting - that pretty much means stuff I don’t either hate or like too much. I was thinking I liked this one (on spotify “Brain Food” channel)
Is there a more gorgeous duet pair than Keiko Matsui and Bob James?
This is my favorite piano song from Keiko’s 2001 album Whisper in the Mirror. You’ll know if it’s for you in the first ten seconds.
And here is a later duet with Bob James. Two masters of their craft.
If you have any interest in weird but awesome celebrity singing albums, may I recommend Unexpected Dreams (2006)?
It starts with a hell of a crooner from Scarlett Johansson, a not entirely unexpectedly terrific performance from Ewan McGregor of the lullaby “The Sweetest Gift,” and then tracks from truly unexpected stars like Jennifer Garner, Lucy Lawless, Julia Louis Dreyfus, and Jeremy Irons.
Though only one or two of the celebrities are strong enough to wonder what they’d look like if they gave a singing career a real shot, the producers knew how to pair each celebrity with a song and performance that plays to their greatest strengths, resulting in an album that’s sure to interest and occasionally will blow you away.

What a massive blow it was to lose him to the dark side. I still can’t wrap my head around it.
Deep cut!!!
Any love for his sixth solo album No More Tears? Zakk Wylde killed it as guest guitarist. Great song after great song.
No More Tears, Mama I’m Coming Home, Crazy Train, I Don’t Want to Change the World. That last one won a frickin’ Grammy!!!
For some reason I listen to this instramental while I’m working out. It’s got a mix of being soothing to help out with lifts but a lot of tension that get that “fuck yea” feel, especially after 7: 30
