Have these people have never seen a Kinko’s? I used to print up poster sized announcements for pot lucks I threw at work for less than $10. I’m sure there are people willing to spend $50 on a big banner out there.
Yeah plus there are all sorts of sign franchise places like fast signs and I have seen sign makers on tiktok who ship next day. It’s trivially easy to get a professionally made sign.

Mike Lee himself might not actually be that dumb but just believe stupid narratives advance his agenda. I can’t confidently say he’s wrong.
Anyway, the larger local protests have set up booths where they give you the supplies to make your own sign on the spot! Or they hand out ready-made signs. I haven’t looked into how volunteer groups like 50501 are funded but it’s ridiculous to claim signs are evidence of “federal funding.” The materials aren’t expensive if you want to diy. Ofc the best signs take a little time and creativity. They’re fun to make, especially if you think it’ll set off shitheads like Lee.

The police state has ramped up. Last week ICE/DHS abducted 196 people in Nashville, 239 people in Los Angeles, 422 people in Houston and 189 people in Washington DC.

As soon as attention to immigration decreased, Trump’s approval on it ticked up and he’s back above 50%. Depressing.
Saw a tiktok from a Nashville waitress yesterday that said a bunch of restaurants got raided and anyone looking Hispanic were arrested and taken away. They had to close her restaurant.
Attendance at recent demonstrations here is way down. Two weeks ago there was a pro-Palestine protest and this week a women’s rights rally but each was small. Maybe people are already burned out. Or the protests have done what they can to raise awareness and it’s time for direct action. Trouble is I see little appetite for that. Trump may be somewhat unpopular but the general population is apathetic. We’re being slowly boiled.
There are still a few people out there who aren’t going quietly.
I’m still hopeful the June 14 protests will eclipse Trump’s stupid parade.

I’m so pissed. I’m full of malice toward anyone who thinks they have any more right to be in the USA than anyone else.

LA seems like a nightmare to try to start this kind of shit in. It’s huge both in area and population

Federal government can send the national guard under a variety of circumstances including insurrection, which is what they are already calling the protests.
It makes sense if it’s a prelude to something much bigger, as Moynihan says. I just didn’t think we were there yet. If they’re doing it just for LA, the next step is ???
