Russia is stealing over 100k orphans, by some reports, in order to bolster their shrinking populace. So of the orphans were created by the Russian military, some were already orphans. It’s catastrophically evil.

@anneapplebaum The Russian Army acted in Bucha the exact same way they have acted in conquered territories for the past 500 years. The attitude they have needs to be ripped up by the roots and scoured from Russian culture even more thoroughly than Nazism had to be purged from Germany.
