Walrus IV reveal Thread. Kingvaldo Collab.

boooooooOOOOO no for real though that’s cool. Glad you liked it. That album is cool. Some quiet stuff, some loud stuff, raw and unpolished, lets the essence of the band come through. The most well known track is probably their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”.

Oh yeah, he’s a freak and a very weird dude. Suzzer had Thanksgiving dinner with him once.

From the liner notes for the album:

whir–another recorded in an hour type thing years that has been in the box… sweet and sadness just ended up here. sometimes when i listen to this i hear who we really are. frail and gentle- it is what is. rock powerx100… note scary ending we would play that part for 15 minutes dum-de-dum-de dum.

Came for the vigorous debate, stayed for the walrus.

Podium time!

15 points for the Cyphre and Type O Negative’s Cinnamon Girl

His voice, I mean, wow. These guys carved a niche with their unique melodic heaviness.

Jesus Christ looks like me oh yeah

their most famous track exemplifies the combining of colossal audacious grooves with heartbreaking melody(and I mean heartbreaking)

there’s melody and then there’s good melody. Seek out Christian Woman if you haven’t heard it

Ok now I am wishing KONY was doing 4 songs and RIV just three. Pretty sure I’m screwed.

the winner might surprise you in this category… I go length and breadth… this aint no musically narrow focused mind… at least Id like to think so

16 points to smrk4 with Leper Messiah by Metallica

smrk4 is 6ix’ understudy in the most awesome bros gang, and my buddy

Heaviness and more satisfying subtle melody with the rolling bass under one of the early guitar riffs, than you might find in the entirety of another entry lol It just delivers.

Considering how close in taste mine is with SD I’m even more outraged by my ranking!

I think you’re going to be surprised with this one

You skewed your picks to Riv’s tastes?

Nope, I just chose one of my favorite artist that is NOT new wave/rock/post punk

If this is the High Hopes dance I am going to lose it.

17 maximum points for skydiver with Satellite by BT

See here, we have a beautiful view of the Earth down below as the satellite departs.

I just love this song. Hypnotic. Gorgeous melody. Beautiful lyrics that read like poetry and mystery.

She smells of the sun
And she’s constantly saying
That it’s alright because lies sound so nice
And like soil to seed goes, casting my fears aside

I’d hoped to provide something in the reveal of this particular song that captures its meaning for me, but I’m just a man and that’s too great a task.

Blown away, girl.

She says the satellite is coming

Nice reveal Rivaldo! I should have done my research on you a bit more. My fave band if all time is Tool, but I was reluctant to submit due to song length.

It’s ok, no one, not even the most die hard BT fans know what it means. And BT has never said. I suspect a bad breakup but wtf do I know

thank you… I appreciate the feedback

im still pissed I had to piss off a good man early in the reveal, but then I caught my stride and it became like a roast almost. I was Mike Sorrentino

Sometimes know as The Situation, never known as The Education

Hmm. Let’s see what my Spotify likes list has to say about that.

I like a few BT tracks. Satellite is my favourite I think, edging out Mercury & Solace.

Leper Messiah is the worst track on Master of Puppets imo :) It’s such a great album though, even the worst track is still pretty good.
