Yeah given kony’s absence for a week or so maybe rivaldo can do a few.
not too late, Brian Eno it is, we can do whatever Eno is later
It’s starting me with “1/1”
Yes podium finish!! Knew Cyndi wouldn’t let me down.
I’d probably skip that if you’ve only an hour for this experiment.
Mine wants to start me at Needles In The Camel’s Eye which is brilliant.
Cyndi made a nice transition from pop to adult contemporary. Sounds like a criticism, but it’s just because she has some great songs and a beautiful voice.
The nice thing about this is I can stop and procrastinate also and course correct.
Brian Eno “1/1”
Brian Eno and Harold Budd: “Lost in the Humming Air”
and it was taking me to “Summer Fields” by Rudy Adrian next, restarting with Needles In The Camel’s Eye
You can’t really go wrong if you stick to random tracks from Here Come The Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain, Another Green World or Before And After Science.
ok im pumped. Riv abandon your family and come do some walrusing!
Ok, so based on reveal so far, I feel pretty ok with my 4th, 6th, and maybe 7th choice.
Possibly 5, but its kind of a wild card with Rivaldo.
“Needles In The Camel’s Eye” by Brian Eno — excellent
“Some Of Them Are Old” by Brian Eno — excellent also, forgive the trite comparison but it’s The Beates meets Pink Floyd to my banal ears
“Over You” by The Soft Boys — not bad I guess
And then it gave me this
Really enjoyed this, the gregorian chant style backup vocals at one point, and then the last 25 seconds came out of nowhere but I loved it
After giving me good stuff it’s giving me cure for insomnia music again, it’s okay just have to vacuum the steps and I’m calling it
“All Things End” by David Hepling — not saying it’s bad or good it’s just literally music for falling asleep
What a great category! Jamming of course to KRS-One (and teaching my kid about the origin of the “Whoop Whoop” meme, and happy to hear he gets why it’s good), so thank you @JohnnyTruant, but even though I love Cyndi Lauper, I had no intention of ever listening to that song again (because I associate it with a commercial?) but it’s dope! And I’m embarrassed to not know Vampire Weekend so we’re slamming that now, and top to bottom I’m super impressed and I’m also kinda buzzed so semi-run-on-sentencing this, but thank you @King_of_NY and all… digging this! And now onto the Talking Heads bit. Love it! (Says my 9-yr old wannabe music producer son: “Ooh, I’m getting the rhythm of this!”)
At this point it’s obviously “Wait you mean Fredro Starr the actor?”
He’s also a New Yorker.
And linking Onyx is always the right choice.
Onyx - Slam was on my shortlist (the Biohazard collaboration version)
I’m on vacation, too, for many weeks.
not enthused just let it lie
I’m doomed
