Sam Stone - John Prine
I really like John Prine. I think his music is always very good and well made. The song is pretty sad and I like how it is about the life of a stranger. There is no real grand significance in singing about him apart from the addiction.

Rainbow River - Vashti Bunyan
Lucky for you, I am a big fan of her. Her music always sounds sort of ethereal and this is a good example. It sounds like something I would hear in a fairytale. I like the flute in the beginning, a very pretty tune. The lyrics fit well with the music. I feel like the image in my head of what this place is like is very clear. Her voice is very relaxing. Sort of sounds ASMR-y.

Ode To Billie Joe - Bobbie Gentry
This is so unfortunate. I know exactly that this is @micro because he was bad at hiding it. This is one of my favorite songs. I play this song all the time. On Sunday, I played it in the car and he was bad at keeping it secret. I feel like now that I know it is him, I cannot put it in first place. Nice try. I just feel like if I knew all the songs, it would have been easy to put this in first place. But I really like the last two and I hadn’t heard of them before so… (Nepotism at its finest.)

I really like the story of this moment. It’s very entertaining. I like how I can picture exactly what this place might look like and how the story goes. Very fun song. I want to hear the rest of the drama. It’s pulling me in. The voice goes really well with it too.

The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia - Vicki Lawrence
I love everything about this song. The story and how it flows in the song, the chorus is so catchy and has this little funkiness to it. I really love how the singer is directly a character in this, it just makes it so much more fun. It’s like she’s recollecting it. Why didn’t she say anything before her brother got hung? Who is she singing the song to? Just grand.

I’m happy with my gold medal nodium after a bronze medal nodium last time. Now that I know nano doesn’t like songs that sound like a nightmare and is strict on category fit I feel like I can be hopeful about ranking in the Pauwl zone next time.

Boo. I didn’t just tell her, it was just hard to hide when she played it. She plays this song all the time. It was a lock for walrus barring a few possible alternatives which weren’t picked. Anti-nepotism at its worst. :)
eta: It’s not like I am a contender for this walrus anyway. I’m probably headed for a few nodiums.
