Will we get a new testament bob after a few drinks? Or a vengeful and wrathful bob

Goddammit. I thought of that after I submitted.
I probably would have submitted the updated version from Body Count:
In 10th place, we have
Arab Strap - The First Big Weekend
It’s a shame that I can’t understand a word that the vocalist is saying because the music itself is good. But if I can’t understand what a person is saying in spoken word then what the hell is left?
If I had thought of it I would have submitted this.
Yeah this totally would’ve locked up #1.
Institutionalized did well in a previous Walrus, so I thought it might be off limits. Submitted by the one and only @JohnnyTruant if I remember correctly.
You lived in Scotland, didn’t you?!
I think what I’ll do along the way is post songs that would’ve been #1 if they had been picked.
So let’s start with this one
Correct. Didn’t mean I understood everybody.
You’re exaggerating, right?
I’m not able to understand it
In 9th place…
Johnny Paycheck - Colorado Cool-Aid
I mean if the category was songs that help me sleep at night, this would win. But unfortunately it isn’t.
I mean I thought it was clear that I understood words in it. But if I need to make an effort to understand words to a spoken word song, that’s bad news.
Not sure what an Arab Strap is, but that song’s cool.
I just want to point out that you deserved 10 horrible entries for picking “spoken word” as your category. Fancy play syndrome imo.
Edit: I’m starting to get the feeling we may have different definitions of “spoken word lyrics”, though.
Edit: Ok last place song was pretty cool!
Agree, did like that Arab Strap song.
Google?
