Glad you liked it. It a Swedish folk ballad

that has been covered by a bunch of Neofolk bands. I usually listen to In Extremo’s heavier version but I thought Garmarna’s fits the category better.

Since you liked Garmarna’s version I can recommend giving their first two albums a listen. They are all songs in the neofolk style. Probably their later works as well but I haven’t listened to them myself yet.

You magnificent bastard. This is great.

Some of my own observations:

  • Happy to see my man Pauwl land on the podium as he sure can Walrus, but I think we can all agree his not finishing in The Pauwl Zone invalidates this entire contest.
  • Solid debut by nano imo.
  • Louis seems to have engaged beast mode and it is a sight to behold.
  • Cassette very unlucky to not take this out given how many podiums he landed. That said, mad respect for finishing 10/13 categories on a 'dium.
  • Very strange seeing the goat and swanky so far from the placings.
  • SUB - impressive Grab Bag debut.
