ERA mix electronic music and rock with Gregorian chants and classical music
ERA – Avemano
This song sort of has the opposite effect: it seems likes it should naturally have an orchestra and the drums/ electric guitar are out of place. Sorry, I don’t think it fits the category too well.

Carbon Leaf - Any Given Day
The singer sort of confuses me, it sounds like he’s sort of Scottish/Irish but not? I know that doesn’t really make sense. I searched it up and it said they are from Virginia. Maybe it’s because it said there was a Celtic influence. I feel bad saying this, but it sort of sounds like something I would listen to on the phone when waiting for customer service.
Well nano, your first reveal and you have
a) Kept me off the nodium and;
b) Given my selection a nice roasting.
May we see you in more Walren to come!

A live band version. She has a few of those and it’s fun to compare them to the single version. She is also cool as fuck in general.
Noga Erez - End of the Road
She and the band she was accompanied with are very talented and it was interesting to the ears. It also is impressive that it sounds so good live. I do agree with you that it’s cool. That being said, maybe I’m being unfair with my rating but it sort of feels more like a marching band.
Sorry :(
You are clearly in a fever induced delirium
Most likely
I had high hopes for this song, based on what you said you would have submitted.
I will point out that he actually did work on an oyster boat early in his life while struggling to make it as a musician after growing up in Oyster Bay, that when he had enough money to buy a personal pleasure craft he chose what was essentially a refurbished fishing boat, and that he was arrested in the 80s for participating in a protest in support of fishermen.
I don’t think it is anywhere near his best song and I initially was more lukewarm on the song, but my appreciation has grown for it over the years. I didn’t like it as much when I was younger because it wasn’t like a lot of his other songs, but it’s grown on me as a song because he tries to do some different things.

Jonathan Bree - You’re So Cool
The strings are played very well. I think that a good string can really heighten a song. It really brings an oomph. His singing is also very good. A good portion of this song is a bit monotonous. That’s why I am scoring it a little bit down.
“The Downeaster Alexa” is one of my favorite Billy Joel songs.
Maybe not orchestral enough I guess.
This is mine. I was beginning to have high hopes, but I’ll take 7th.
My bad, I should have done my research. I like Billy Joel but I’m not too fond of this one.
Lol mine too.
Anything he writes about his personal experiences tends to be good. I like “Leningrad” as well.
My dad was a huge Billy Joel fan. He’d play this on repeat in the car.
Billy Joel was my favorite singer when I was 14
I mean, I am old enough to remember when Billy Joel took that tour to Russia. It was kind of a big deal.
That sound is a bit of an acquired taste.
I always liked that one.
Oh, well. An attempt has been made.

Billy Joel - Scenes From An Italian Restaurant
Funnily enough, I used to be obsessed with Billy Joel a few years ago. I saw a concert of his at Dodger Stadium when I was 14. I still have the shirt from that time. He sang this song and I can confidently say he sounds exactly like he did in the recording. He is also a great showman; he has this charisma to him. I rated it a little lower just because I am so familiar with this song.
