@pyatnitski Would Mississippi Delta Blues or Mississippi Hill Country blues have counted as folk music. Your musicologist definition of folk in your category description would suggest they would have. I didn’t want to gamble though and I’m happy with how it worked out.
I certainly don’t know enough to have disqualified them!

I kind of like this one for jazz. I don’t think it’s great or anything but it’s better than I’d expect from a generic jazz entry. Gets kind of weird towards the end though.
My wife basically argues that I should enjoy jazz because it’s complex and difficult. I can appreciate it while not actually finding it aesthetically pleasing. This piece has something going for it but it’s also not great.
