I’m just letting my YouTube play random songs now thanks to Walrus. I was thinking about starting up my own walrus thread to perk up the weekend but honestly I think I should just let it breath for now.

Hope you model contestants get the entries in by the deadline in 20 minutes or so. Once I sleep off the superbowl and KoNY forwards them all anonymous-like I’ll start my listening, and I’ll post news of a soft time for the first reveal at some point tomorrow.
I hope you all did good work, but we shall see.

I think I did a bad job policing the deadline, so it’s extended a few days. Also KoNY tells me “some of these effers write a lot”, hence the anonymising is a bit more work than expected. No matter, we have @Jalfrezi to see us through.

Yeah, I realised when submitting mine to KONY that the comments virtually de-anonymised it, but I really like it when people write about their selections.
I’ll probably start the next reveal in about 7 hours, with the customary break for dinner.

OK, all entries in, I’ll begin my listening today. Just had a first scan of the list, seems to be a good mix of songs I know and enjoy, songs I’m looking forward to hearing, and a few I’m looking forward to saying bad things about keeping an open mind on. Will update with reveal times once I get a handle on the first couple of categories.

Just a quick update. All going well, have listened to the first couple of categories a few times each and am beginning to clarify my thinking. I could probably aim for the first reveal tomorrow if I had to, but given that’s when @Jalfrezi 's joint reaches it’s climax that would be silly.
The weekend is always tricky to find extended time to post, so, unless something unforeseen happens, we’ll kick things off Monday evening—I’ll probably aim for around a 5pm EST start time (around 11pm for me, can’t start much later than that).

Sadly my wife has found out I’m running a music contest on the internet, so now, as well as having to listen to all your songs, I have to deal with mild domestic ridicule. I won’t let it get to me, though.

I had the same thing from mine last week. - disbelief in anyone being interested in my opinion on their tastes in music.
Then she warmed to it and started listening to a few with me.
