I wrote something but then thought most Americans have already called it a night, so I was going to see how people responded today/Saturday.
I tried to address the last week submissions vs. this week news in my category intro that I wrote yesterday. I know most people would change their submission, but as CanadaMatt3004 pointed out, it would likely be āFuck the policeā.
Let me know what everyone wants to do. Iām flexible.
No way, let it ride as is and reveal tomorrow. There isnāt one of us who doesnāt feel the same way tonight, so all you would get is variations of the same. Im curious to see how everyone felt a week ago, and I was serious about people needing something like this tomorrow.

Because I can see into the future I changed everyoneās submission to fit my current mood so weāre all good. Itās a lot of this only less melodic.

Edit - Not that whatās happening isnāt wild and scary, obviously.
So this thread and the ongoing protest (I am perfectly aware that these protests arenāt comparable) reminded me of a march we had in Liverpool when they closed our local punk club āEricsā down after a police drug raid. The punks of Liverpool did manage to bring the centre of Liverpool to a halt, but obviously the club wasnāt saved.
I also came across this picture I had never seen before that has a young leather jacketed skinny swanky standing on the far right looking in

I stand to be corrected here but the (new wave anyway) Liverpool scene always struck us as being more psychedelic than elsewhere. I donāt know why that should be.
Yes the original punk bands from Liverpool were pretty shit. I can remember Pink Military and Big in Japan. After that there was a bit of a reaction up north, at least in the circles I hung our, to what was seen southern oi type punk, typified by the the likes of the UK Subs and Sham69. Also tbh Liverpool was a bit jealous of the Manchester scene so there was an attempt to be different
There was a lot of interest in 60ās psychedelia, I remember the āNuggetsā and the Pebbles compilation albums being very sought after and prized.
Also a lot of acid

I intended for this category to be a means to allow people to vent about how they feel. I thought by putting it into a song and writing about it, it might offer you some catharsis. I hope it offered some solace.
I know I said I would focus on category fit in the scoring but Iām not going to rank somebodyās worldview against another or criticize how you feel. This time, my subjective music taste was everything. I generally prefer songs Iām not familiar with. If I ranked it low because I didnāt like the song, please donāt take that to imply anything about your viewpoint or what you get from the song.

I always come up with what I would submit for the category as Iām doing the reviews. You all submitted your songs last week. Things are different this week and I would have expected alot of your submissions to be different today. Iāll just say that my honest current reaction is a Bowie song, but Iām not going to post it. This is the song I thought about last week. I wanted to come up with a better one, but Iāll submit what I had in my mind when you all submitted yours.
This song/video came out in 2017 and I loved it. Mainly the song combined with the video. This is an artist that alot of people donāt like but fuck the haters. Watch the video. Itās pretty pessimistic but has a nice message at the end.
