Yeah in that case its a great deal for anyone who canāt afford the console outright. Especially considering how predatory typical rent-to-own agreements can be
Iām weary of buying the launch model of any new console. I bought the Xbox One X when it launched since I had a new 65ā 4K. It wasnāt much of a difference from my normal Xbox One. Also, I spend way more time now playing DOTA since Fifa 20 and NBA2K20 both had awful releases last year in regards to online play.
I may check out Wasteland since I have game pass. I know Outer Worlds was on there. I still have Witcher 3 installed and have yet to boot it up.
You also get EA (whatever their game pass is called) for 24 months as well which I think is currently $5 a month.
Edit: Just saw they are rolling that into game pass program wide, which is pretty cool. No idea how that is profitable for EA unless they get a huge chunk up front. It really exposes how useless a new version of EA sports games every year really is
That EA access is actually really great if you play Ultimate Team. You get early access to the game (which is huge for the market) and discounts year round on microtransactions. I no longer spend money on FUT, but I did one year right when I got sober and needed shit to grind. Probably the most embarrassing thing Iāve ever done is the amount of money I spent that year on the game. Cheaper than a DUI, though.
I think it is because they didnāt want to release an Xbox 2 to compete with the Playstation 3 because obviously 3 is better than 2. So they came up with Xbox 360 and now they have a similar problem for a every generation.
Maybe itās because the S does upscaling as well? I donāt know. All I really noticed were load times were much shorter. I sold it and went back to an S.
Iām getting ps5 day it comes out. The exclusives make it a really easy decision for me. The new xbox looks nice though.
The thing about owning an xbox that makes it a super easy decision for me is that most xbox games also come out on pc, and I have a decent rig already. So the choice for me is obvious ps5 even though I hate giving sony any money.
I donāt even play my PS4 now due to home circumstances (wife wfh and have our own and a friendās toddler at the house M-F 7 to 5, not to mention a shitty set up in our living room where I basically have to stand to play it) and somehow Iām getting roped into getting a next-gen console arenāt I? I guess I can at least wait to see what our prospects are for staying in the U.S. vs leaving before making any decisions like that. I was going to set up a little gaming corner in our bedroom with an old TV and stand we had but the stand fell apart when we went to move it lol
Yea Iāve missed out on all PS exclusives for years. The Xbox controller is the greatest gamepad Iāve ever held and has ruined me from ever picking up a PS controller again.
The xbox controller is far superior. I switched from PC rocket league to PS4 and it took 3 months to get used to ps4 controller. I have a suspicion that I still miss some shots because the orientation of the sticks on the ps4 controller suck compared to xbox.
I hit champ1 on pc and iāve clawed my way up to diamond on ps4, but Iām pretty sure this damn controller is holding me back.
