New WOW xpac will require an SSD as part of minimum specs to run
Not that it matters because I gave it up (wasn’t even playing live, was on Classic for a while with @anon3530961 about a year ago) but my current rig would not run it lol I still don’t have an SSD
Real talk the only pc game I’ve played in the past two years other than wow classic has been EU4, I really haven’t needed it. But I did upgrade a while back and wish very much I’d gone ahead and gotten one because it’s inevitable.
Crosscode - am stuck on grand kriskajo or whatever that temple is called. The whale boss. I got fatigued of that game’s difficulty. I will probably give it a strong go this weekend but I’m looking for a new game to keep me entertained soon. I have a really infuriating need to beat this though.
Dont forget you can adjust the difficulty in the options menu. I had to do so for the final boss and almost for the whale boss.
If you’re on the third form where the whale and the monkey attack individually and interchangeably, try this. When you break the whale, the monkey goes and sits on his head. He spawns three wave points (the green warp balls) and you can use them to get up to the whales head and beat up the monkey. If you kill the monkey before the third wave, and have the whale left on it’s own the fight is much easier
Tony Hawk 1 and 2 remake comes out on Friday for anyone that loved those games growing up. looks like they did a good job based on the demo so I’ll probably be buying it. Wasted so many hours of my childhood playing those games
What about page file access? Seems like even with a gazillion ram winblows forever loves to move shit there.
I’m about to pull the trigger just need to read up and decide. Looks like my motherboard will accommodate a M.2 PCIe ssd so if anyone has any recommendations I’ll will accept them now. I’d prefer something that comes with software that will let me clone my current drive since I recently did a clean install and would rather not relive that again just yet.
Yeah, the monkey in his single form is a complete dick. There is no real indication that you can get to him on top of the whale since you’re normally so busy trying to deal damage to it after the break
What is like normal high end but non super-enthusiast strategy for video card buying? I bought a GTX 1080 when it came out (~4 years ago) and it still seems really good. Everything runs at high/ultra that I try. Should I even buy a 30 series? 3080ti in a year maybe? But muh ray tracing?
