SPEAKING of God of War:
Played like 25-30 hours in the last God of War game and it just never really resonated with me.
It felt like combat had the need to offer me 200 different button combos and I ended up just using 3 of them.
Also the puzzles were less āFigure something outā and more āLook for this thing thatās really well hidden among all the graphicsā
Some people reporting Xbox Series S at Costco for $199.97 if anyone is looking for a discounted current-gen(ish) console.
Epic Games is giving away a free game every day until December 30th.
Free on Epic (for 20 more hours):
Wolfenstein - The New Order
I beat all the Valkyries except Sigrun, got the Muspelheim achievement, but I still can figure out how to get these āAnchor Fogā things for the realm tears in Niflheim. Iāve read some conflicting accounts online; whatever it is seems too grindy.
Iāve started playing GOW (2018) a bit because my son is obsessed with it. Iāve determined that the real god is the son. He takes a beating every fight and never goes down, while I get hit three times and Iām dead.
Youāre not wrong
āTheā god, no. āAā godā¦ maybe? Stay tuned!
I had a sliver of health in a fight the other day (still very early in the game - it was right before I met that blacksmith/shop keeper dude for the first time) and just sat there holding my shield up while the kid took on three enemies with his bow and arrow. Once in a while, Iād throw my axe if I had an opening, but I basically just held up the shield and spammed āXā in the controller.
Partway through the game youāll see that the kidās exceptionally good at one non-combat skillā¦
The fight prior to getting the blacksmith is a pretty severe difficulty spike in the early game
Spoke too soon since I got two of those anchor of fog things in the last hour. Just need one more now.
Free on Epic:
Death Stranding
I bought it for my kid last year, but as happens, he hasnāt played it because of his Steam/Epic backlog. I donāt think heās even redeemed the code, so he might just gift it to a friend.
Nice been interested in this one for a while

I might have to finally buy something in the Fortnite store:
