There was a Kickstarter a few months ago for the new edition/update of the Four Souls card game. First Kickstarter I ever contributed to - I’m going to surprise my son with it when it arrives next year. He’s an Isaac superstan.
EDIT: His recent unit in social studies was about the major western religions. He said he knew some of the material because of the game.
It’s pretty fun so far. I didn’t get to end game in alpha or betas and am now busy again so only level 15 atm but plan to play more this weekend. I’m really hoping the PVP is decent.
The only complaints are the queues because of the popularity but they dropped like 32-33 new servers right after launch for the East Coast cluster alone and that seems to have helped. Except prime time there’s still a bit of a queue. Also, if you are stupid and go to the “pvp” server (Valhalla) or chase streamers you will have a bad time. Asmond was in a 10000k+ queue the other day.
They also announced a one time server transfer in a few weeks so you can just level on any server for the time being and get to your friends’ server once things settle down.
So “lol grue welcome to aaa games” but I’m playing hitman “2” cause it’s free on psplus and I am absolutely blown away by polished it is. Never played this franchise before somehow. Wow.
Yeah, I guess the game just isn’t for you. A huge part of the fun is replaying the missions over and over and puzzling out all the different challenges and finding all the fun little details in the gameworld.
I can’t really recommend The Outer Worlds even though I’m kinda getting into it. Game mechanics are meh, the inventory and looting is garbage, I don’t even like the worldbuilding. Despite all that, the characters and story are interesting enough to keep me wanting to play through it.
