Is this an open world pvp server? I never played past the free trial in about 2008 or so and other streamers playing along with this thread has me tempted. I would need PVP though, I am not a PVE dungeon fan really which has me skeptical about grinding to start with.
Yea the server i am on (faerlina) is open world pvp. Wandering about alone is kind of dangerous, there’s a lot of action between the factions. I’ve been having fun lately in the newbie outlands zone answering calls for help against gankers, and I’ll end up recruiting people for the guild that way.
I played on an aussie pve server last year and found it boring/frustrating. Alliance will totally camp grinding areas and you can’t do anything but emote at them. If someone does that to you on a pvp server you can kill them for the resource, lol.

Someone needs to find a game we can all play and crush all competition.
Well, the prize pool for The International 10 is over $40 Million. If you guys start practicing DOTA now, we can probably be ready for TI15.

Just go with it. It’s quality time with your kid AND playing video games. Kind of a dream scenario actually.
What’s funny is that he was extremely anti-Fortnite for a long time. To hear him say it, it was more because of the “culture” of the game, how it created such intense fanboys, rather than the game itself not being fun.
I should go back and try some of the Save the World mode.

Games don’t get that big because they aren’t fun… but I totally get where your kid was coming from. Fortnites entire style turns me off and the building part annoys me no end.
I’m hopeful that my kids, when I have them, are into strategy games like their dad is.

My soon to be 10 year old has been playing it for years and still loves it, I play it with him when he wants, we won a duo game last night where he had the new rail gun and he was stoked, I saved him twice so I felt good, once when he was down.
Which is a big thing cuz while I can play on the pc a lot better, I play on the ps5 while he plays on pc and I’m terrible. Although even on the pc I still wouldn’t build anything, I can throw up a wall to protect myself some but mostly I’m running and shooting. Anything else forget it

I played Fortnite with a group of guys in squads for a while when it came out. I don’t play game likes that and it was a lot of fun when everyone sucked. Was considerably less fun when people got good.
My friend’s kids were diehard Fortnite players when I went there a few summers ago. They found out I was a gamer and I pissed their dad off by telling them about ping and latency lol. I didn’t play Fortnite and the next time I was there I asked if they were still playing and they scoffed and said no like it’s a dumb game now. My buddy tells me later they still play it constantly lol.
ETA: One night we were texting and I hadn’t played GTA V and was suggesting his kids may be old enough for it because he said they are begging him to get it. I actually played it after that and texted him immediately to ignore anything I said previously about it. Funny shit.

If I were to step a foot in the waters of TBC, what are the better ranged classes pvp wise that patch? I usually play ranged mage or ranger type classes. I’ve played healer but usually only if the guild doesn’t have one. Have never played a tank ever.
