I’ll take medium black, please, thanks.
I think I’m going to just take “Black” to mean “Nickel” unless someone says “really really Black”.
I think everybody (including me) was assuming that the two colors illustrated (nickel and pollen) were the only two choices available. Which is why I thought “dark” was sufficient. I was perfectly happy with this constraint plus it will make the organization of the order easier.
Makes sense. The pic right below has 12 colors though if anyone wants to change. It may be the T-shirt guy picked the two colors he thought best suited the graphic anyway.
Yeah, the dark color is good for me, thank you.
Hey I’ll take a medium in Walnut, thanks! If you need multiples of the same color for the order or something then nickel is fine.
Bump - is this on hold due to CV?
Pretty much. I was recently thinking of emailing the shirt maker again, but last I heard he could not get into his shop. Unfortunately there may be a hiccup with the colors and I’ve been lazy/reluctant to open up the discussion again without be sure that it would be the last time I’d have to ask people anything about it. Turned out that shirts for the colors I posted are actually made in Haiti and the US made don’t have the same colors (not a yellow at all). The shirt guy was going to look into what the factory is like in the Haiti, maybe, but I told him not to spend too much time since that might be a very hard thing to find out. Ethical sourcing of T-shirts is no easy feat.
I’ll email him just to check in.
Yeah, don’t rush. It just popped into my head this morning and I didn’t know what was happening. It can wait until we’re out of this mess or we’re all dead, whichever comes first.
I’ll email him anyway, but I’m not pressuring him.
These are the colors for the shirts that are actually made in the US.
Those look fine to me, I would take army
Bump. I just got this email from the T-Shirt Artist.
How are you doing? My building has reopened, with reduced hours (m-f 8-5pm) and I’m very grateful that the building owner has done so in a conscientious manner. The staff is taking body temperature readings and spraying an alcohol solution into everyone’s hands before entering the building; masks and social distancing are all mandatory. I feel very confident in the careful and strict approach. In short, I’m ready to print if you’re interested in moving forward.
Since we have had to change manufacturer and hence colors I really only know what mjiggy wants.
@Fatboy8, @LodenPants, @TheDuker, @Rivaldo, @anon92450360, @jmakin, @Jalfrezi, @Rexx, @smrk4, @beetlejuice - and anyone else, if you could take a look at my post from this thread from April 18th and pick size and color, that’d be great. If you do and I can start collecting some money that would be awesome. I have collected from one person so far (thank you) and any early payments will help, but I’m going to buy 23 (iirc that was the minimum order) and hope to sell them.
Also, wanna @Sabo and @PocketChads here. You know who the cat is modeled after.
Slate medium please. I can pay up front if it helps - PM me with details?
Thanks. I’ll bump this again after I fix it. The product is available on Kroshopkin and payment works, but I still have the old colors up there.
also need color from @lovemuffin
Is that your original art work? Very nice regardless. Sign me up for a shirt.
ETA: I actually read the thread and I see that the art work was by your daughter.
The black cat is actually named “Sabo-tabby”. Ralph Chaplin, author of Solidarity Forever, is generally credited with her creation. The combination with the dove of peace is particularly apt. Chaplin was one of 100 Wobblies infamously sentenced to 20 years by “hanging judge” K.Landis for opposition to WW1. Sabo-tabby has obviously been depicted as anti-war before (below). I really like the contrast… a friendly black cat chilling with the dove of peace -vs- an angry black cat striking down the eagle of war.

I named my dog “Sabo”, not “Sabo-doggy”, because I didn’t want folks calling him “Sabo-doggy doggy”. That, and ‘Sabo’ (full stop) is a strong call name.
OTOH up.com and, in the US at least, ‘UP’ in general refers to this…
How about (F)?
Grass, medium. Happy to pay early through PayPal/Venmo, or kroshopkin if you can provide a link.
Light blue, men’s small. Not picky about color. Medium I guess if the sizes are unisex?
