It appears that huge explosion over Kyiv was a large Russian plane being taken down by Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defenses.

Mostly missiles, but the one explosion was huge and Ukraine is claiming that it did take down an aircraft.

today in UA (tomorrow in us) is going to be absolutely insane. expect a lot of bombings.
putin hasn’t gone on tv again yet. hard to imagine what he’s going to say, but i am sure he was hoping to announce some sort of victory. but the longer he waits to talk, the worse it looks domestically.

edit: dude on CNN even just said, its incredibly hard to intercept missiles, basically only USA #1 and Israel have that ability

I’m kind of wondering if we somehow snuck some in already. There was a former US NATO General on CNN earlier today and he said something about NATO being capable of putting a “cap” over Kyiv, then he kind of stuttered and changed the subject awkwardly.
Then tonight a CNN reporter said they were stunned Ukraine was intercepting ballistic missiles over Kyiv, they didn’t think Ukraine had that advanced capability.
