I bet one of them has initials MR.

Aren’t they more upset about Madison outing their drug fueled orgies (not that there is anything wrong with that, aside from hypocrisy)?

UA hasn’t claimed responsibility for Belgorod strike except for the MP who celebrated it as if it were intentional. apparently it was a weapons depot although very close to a city. RU first said “human factors”, while some reporters on telegram claimed a ukrainian aircraft strike, and further saying that UA DRG are heading towards other weapons caches.

would be first confirmed strike by UA inside russia, amd an appropriate response to cruise missile strikes on Lviv and Mykolaev.

The Twitter folks were mentioning that Russian weapon facilities have a tendency to blow up all on their own due to poor maintenance.

that’s still not very common, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise either way.

fwiw russian DRG have blown up old armament depots in ukraine since 2014. although mostly those were for old explosives that USSR was withdrawing from east germany and the like

Gangster!

Christo Grozev reported in an interview that abramovich was poisoned with chloropicrin??? super confused. doesn’t appear to be a common poison cause.

ETA: more info about this, chloropicrin isn’t confirmed but several chemical agent experts deduced it’s most likely to cause those symptoms. the people who had symptoms did not yet reveal if they collected samples or tried to identify the poison in a european lab. also, Bellingcat was investigating it, but it they had not completed the material. the poisoning rumor started leaking out and that’s when Bellingcat decided to address what they know before concluding anything for themselves.

I’m going with they are saying they are reducing operations around Kyiv as a trust building measure so they can complain when their retreating forces are attacked.

As I understand it, organized retreat is harder than attack and screwing it up can lead to big losses. What happens if it becomes a rout with Russian soldiers surrendering en masse?

Ukraine destroyed a couple MIGs on the ground with ballistic missiles early on. I was also under the impression that Ukraine did take credit for the ammo dump.

yes, except for that one weird early occurrence. it could have been they just had a window of opportunity to use it, and/or afterwards the russians occupied the area and similar strike could no longer occur.

strike on Rostov was also via Tochka-U which isn’t super accurate at greater range and according to the wiki two missiles only destroyed one Sukhoi plane. OTR-21 Tochka - Wikipedia.

on the other hand, tochka u blew up the alligator warship in berdyansk with a ton of ammo. much more impactful.

according to the pentagon, russia has launched like 1300+ total rockets already, and we have yet to see big totals used by ukraine. so perhaps they are stingy with what they have, and obviously spent a lot more efforts ambushing russian convoys.

I was shocked Ukraine had any ballistic missiles, I would be doubly shocked if they had more than a couple dozen.

Ukraine has them left from soviet union. although a relatively old design, it’s still a powerful weapon. but not powerful enough to dissuade putin even if ukraine had hundreds of them.

Trump still in there pitching. If I understand what he’s saying, it’s “Hey Putin, since Biden is trying to end you, you know what would really hurt Biden? That (most likely) totally made up thing that confirms my conspiracy bullshit. So do me a solid and play along, bro.”

It’s funny until he wins the next election and sends troops to Ukraine to help Putin.

Awful lot of fawning over someone “tough on Russia”
