That makes more sense, thanks to you both.
Makes sense. Afaik sugar never goes bad. Maybe Americans don’t value it bc we get so much of it while not even realizing it. Google says consumption is about 70 kg yearly per capita in US vs 37 kg in Russia.
I’ve always wondered why is that? You’d think bacteria and fungus would absolutely love sugar.
I’m not a biologist or anything, but I think water can’t exist within sugar or salt and bacteria needs water molecules or something
banning russia energy isn’t really feasible for europe as well, here we could but it wouldn’t make much of a dent either way
Water most definitely can exist in sugar and salt, but the issue is that the concentration of sugar or salt in any residual water is going to suck all the water out of bacterial cells via osmosis unless there is a lot of water, enough to dissolve all the sugar or salt.
IANABiologist either but that would be my guess too, as long as the sugar is dry. But even in solution it might kill bacteria if they absorb so much it interferes with their biological processes. Sugar is highly soluble in water. Like amazingly so.
i’m no military commander but trenches seems kinda lol in 2022 when both sides are using drone guided missiles and artillery.
If they blow up that neon plant, used cars and graphic cards will be worth more than ape gifs.

Remember when we thought Putin wasn’t going to go Grozny/Aleppo on any Ukrainian cities, back in the halcyon days of 3 weeks ago when we were so naive?
Not only is he doing that, he’s doing it on a majority Russian-speaking city.
The vast amount of bombs/mortars/missiles are still unguided, bullets still go in a straight line and so does shrapnel from nearby bombs and grenades so trenches and foxholes will never disappear.
The 1000 of those loitering kamikaze drones that are on the way will make the trenches less fun.
Well if the bar is completely disappear sure, but entrenched positions like that, per my understanding, is something last done a lot by serious armies in ww2 or maybe korea
Again, not military expert by any means, but sure seems like it’s just asking for it
