Should Democrats let him get away with the walk back? Carlson literally said he was “rooting for Russia”. That’s not a slip of the tongue. That’s not something you say by accident. He said something like the Russian invasion took him by surprise. But the Biden team had been warning of it for days in advance. I don’t think Dems should give Carlson a pass on this. Nor can they give Trump a pass on the “genius” comment.
We already have an aggressively anti-West Russian government. If there’s some kind of overthrow, the new leadership is going to have too much on its hands domestically to be seriously dicking around with the US.

This is a laughably wrong take. There have been journalists jailed, harassed, and shot with rubber bullets for covering the BLM protests. Protesters have been killed, arrested, harassed, and jailed.

The only laughably bad take here is that USA = Russia.
It’s tied to the weird idea that Russia is their ideal white Christian ethnostate led by a strongman. It is basically racism as with everything with these people.
The best part is they are too stupid to realize Russia is pretty ethnically and racially diverse.

No, we won’t get a pro-west government, but we’d be drawing live to a “Knock the imperialism the fuck off and go back to enjoying the oligarch life” type of government. Something like painting the West as the enemy for domestic consumption, but also wanting to get back to enjoying the luxuries of the West.

russian vehicles are having problems going through a lot right now so I’d guess it causes trouble at a minimum.
