Nuclear plant live feed:

How popular is K-pop in Russia? Could the offer of a free BTS concert cause an uprising?

such peacekeeping. even as russia doesn’t have formal capital punishment, and neither does ukraine.

Far from positive, but I think this is what’s where at the power plant:

that’s really bad. does blowing up a nuclear power plant qualify as a nuclear attack on ukraine?

Wiki says 32 countries have nuclear power reactors. Looks like more than 3 reactors and you either have nuclear weapons or are going to be defended by somebody that does.

Edit: I mean unless you’re Ukraine.

Seems propaganda-ish. Even by Russian standards of idiocy in their approach this is dumb.

I don’t think they’re going to blow it up, but they currently have control of it. You can see the tanks and such in the live feed now.

Are you telling me Bloomberg News is responsible for spreading propaganda?

Say it ain’t so!

I can’t believe I’m watching a war being fought in the parking lot of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.

Lol fifth columnists

so far UA is saying a battle is ongoing, and there’s damage to the first energy block, presumably something to do with reactor 1. they note that reactor 1 was down for maintenance at this time, but radioactive fuel is still there.

I’m assuming the flashes from the vehicles on the road are mortars or whatever being fired.

Tracer rounds now as I type this.

Fuck.

Holy fucking fuck. Am I the only one watching this?

I’m now convinced that we’ll see a nuclear meltdown at some point if this war goes on. A power outage and the Russian army using backup generator fuel for their trucks would be enough for a Fukushima scenario. Maybe not now and maybe in one of the other locations, but in the long run it seems almost inevitable if you think about it.

Unless “being Russian” is a requirement (and the definition I saw only said “especially in Russia”) I don’t see much difference, but this isn’t the thread for that.

Just curious, where did you see that Moex is opening tonight/tomorrow? I can’t find anything.

It seems like at this point Putin’s going to keep it closed until he comes up with a way to manipulate it when it reopens.

‘See guys, the Russian economy isn’t a pile of embers, the market’s up 2%… Oh you want to sell some of your shares? Yea, that’s not allowed.’
