There are things that we can do: take part in protest to let politicians know you feel, contact their offices directly, donate, pay attention to which companies sever their ties with Russia and which don’t
Between this and the state run doping efforts, which are very obviously still happening, Russia should be expelled from all international sports for the foreseeable future. They won’t be because of how corrupt all of the international sports bodies are. However, I think we likely start to see a lot of boycotts against playing Russia to attempt to force their hand.
The FIVB men’s championships are supposed to be held in Moscow this summer and several of the top national teams have already stated they will not attend and will not play the Russian team anywhere outside of Russia either.
They’ve hit like three hospitals so far to date, several apartment buildings, and in case there was any doubt whether that was intentional or reckless but accidental, they just shelled the fuck out of residential areas in Kharkiv.

They’re firing barrages of unguided rockets (and reports of cluster bombs, though that’s not 100%). That’s a war crime even if you’re “targeting” a military objective in the center of the huge area of devastation.
I think it also speaks towards having no motivation as a foreign invader and not ethically agreeing with the invasion.
I think that’s true, but the minute by minute doom scrolling just isn’t that good. During shootings and what not it’s not very good either. Everyone says don’t report the immediate rumors and they’re usually right, but because it happens in a web of civil society the truth gets sussed out relatively quickly. Here’s there’s almost no one to go through and independently verify things because it’s the fog of war.
There were all those reports and videos of civilians arming themselves with Molotov cocktails, though. Does that make them combatants?
