Yes, and this is the off ramp. Russia just annexes huge swathes of the country and tells Zelensky to “come and get it” if he doesn’t like it.
Obviously the financial sanctions, etc. stay in place in this scenario.

I’m not saying these are our only choices, but if it’s 1) x% chance of the end of humanity vs 2) give Putin Ukraine, how high does x need to be for 2 to be the correct option?
Now Putin knows how Bob Kraft feels!
So any meaningful updates overnight? e.g. Was there bombing all night of Kiev like there has even precious night? Feel like I haven’t seen much. Maybe I missed stuff earlier in the thread.
I just generally keep an eye on the BBC live updates page. Nothing earth-shattering there.
What I would give to be the foreman on that jury.
Your honor, our verdict is…
Russian oligarch, go fuck yourself.
The problem is if that’s the calculus, it has to apply to Moldova too, right? How about the Baltic States? Poland? Where does it end?
Shame there is no promotion path for him after this. He’d probably do pretty well as next US pres.
you can’t believe what fell
I believe the situation we have here is known as “a highly dynamic board”.

at least he’s politically at home there as he’s a ron paul libertarian.
It makes my spidey sense tingle to see so much “lol omg look at that bumbling Russian military” pouring from every orifice of the internet.
Just a bit too…convenient? I dunno. Maybe I’m dumb but I am pretty sure Russia could obliterate Ukraine in 15 minutes. So clearly they are trying to do this with one hand tied behind their backs. Meh it’s all unnerving.

Good questions without good answers. On the one hand, we don’t get to deal with Moldova if he deploys nukes over Ukraine. On the other hand, giving him Ukraine emboldens him to continue.
I’m beginning to think maybe these nuclear weapons are no bueno!
