Turbo Walrus: TV theme edition - Reveal!

Holy shit, I have some wiki reading to do.

If there was one person I could have excluded from having a kids show in the 80s, Pryor might have been it.

I was hoping to see The Littlest Hobo, but maybe it will be in the 80s.

Well, on the one hand, disappointed because I considered Kimmy Schmidt before going with Terriers; on the other, Sanford and Son is one of my favorites, but I was afraid of getting a duplicate so I went with Laverne & Shirley instead. It all balances out.

Mine was a flip between Sanford and Son and The Muppet Show.

Nearly chose this one but felt that it was too popular.

Shit. I thought the whole point was to try and find more obscure songs.

Definitely would have made some changes to my list if I knew that it didnā€™t matter.

The clear right answer for 70s

same.

Also, I almost went with an all-cartoon submission but I couldnā€™t find anything for the 70s that I didnā€™t utterly despise

Are we claiming submissions for revealed tracks yet?

Yes please feel free. Would help get an idea where everyone stands going into tomorrow

Cool. Both 2nd placers were me, Humans and The Professionals. Cristobal Tapia de Veer scored Humans and a bunch of other (mostly British, mostly sci-fi) stuff and is one of my absolute fave musicians of the past decade or so. You would have to work very hard to create music more suited to my tastes. This guy just gets me.

Also, The Girl With all the Gifts is a really great twist on the zombie genre and well worth a watch.

I almost went here, but I wasnā€™t confident it would be judged well.

M* A* S* H theme was a late scratch as well.

I was 7th and 6th, respectively, for a total of 5 points.

the Justified entry was robbed, I tell you

downvote - I was very happy to see this submission - of course Iā€™m old enough to have watched this and there was a nostalgia element.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - 8 points
Sanford and Son - 4 points

Was the WKRP submission supposed to be the opening credits? Thatā€™s a really great song imo.

1970s could have used

no. and no. OK, itā€™s not badā€¦so much as generic. The end theme is so much more unique and fun and interesting

My one comment as blinder was about this.

Maybe think of me once in awhile.

however, note that CM said he would have ranked the opening theme lower!
