Trump isn't trying to seize power

You left off the biggest non-staying-in-power motivation, grifting, but he can be doing all of those things and also think that there’s a non-zero chance the courts let him stay in power because of all his appointees.

So it’s a coup because there’s a chance Trump thinks that there’s a slim chance the courts might overturn the election, even though there is zero chance the courts will overturn the election?

There’s a zero chance now, but I don’t think the chance was zero on Nov. 4th.

79 posts already in an obvious Keeeeed thread, good lord.

Any campaign in Trump’s position would be doing election law suits on November 4th! It was a very close election. By all accounts Trump did a very bad job with this stuff and didn’t have nearly the people on the ground that he needed, most campaigns would have done a lot better.

This is your brain on Greedy Glenn and White Power Hour.

Trump sent in the competent attorneys that any campaign would on election week… they were just rearranging the decks chairs on the Titantic so Trump sent in Giuliani and Co. to threaten people’s lives if they didn’t do the coup.

Exactly? The first were the actual challenges while the second was the PR effort.

Based on what, one picture? Cmon man.

Based on that they were literally working on launching a TV station and not policy or anything to do with running government?

This isn’t exactly news, we know Trump both thought he was going to lose and wasn’t exactly happy with winning.

You agree they threatened people’s lives if they didn’t do the coup… but there was no coup?

What? Of course not.

Threatening election officials with violence if they don’t do their part to give you the election is not a coup? Are you just straight up stupid or what?

That…never happened? I was agreeing with you that the first group of lawyers was the serious attempt, but Giuliani and Powell are just a PR effort. Obviously none of it is a coup.

Saying that every state and local R that does their ministerial duties to certify the election is a traitor that needs to be executed isn’t threatening violence?

I’m not familiar with Trump’s legal team saying that, but I have my doubts that’s an accurate paraphrase.

“Are you just straight up stupid or what?” is hostile and abusive. Please treat members with kindness and respect!

Thank you.

Trump’s post-election “strategy” is like my stumbling drunk buddy who used the line: “If I said you had an amazing body would you hold it against me?” line like 50 times in one night. And got rejected every time until he did it to the bouncers GF 3 times in a row, got a drink thrown in his face, and tossed out of the bar.

Trump is doing this because to his supporters(drunk on koolaid), it looks like he’s some kind of alpha-male PUA chatting up every woman in sight.

Trump’s post-election strategy is to liberate his supporters’ money.

He really does wear a diaper, doesn’t he?
