It’s literally not possible to prove that I’m right or wrong on this, this whole thread is just my opinion that Trump isn’t genuinely thinking that anything he does is actually going to let him hold on to power. Short of Trump secretly training a coherent force of brownshirts who actually try to execute a coup I’m not sure how that could be proven or disproven.
Why anyone would get worked up about me having an opinion they disagree with is a separate question.

Really guys? You’re asking why a narcissist would want to see his adoring marauders fight for his honor? He had to get such a rush and high off this unlike any he’s ever had. His whole “Remember this day forever!” is him saying the quiet parts out loud again.
Why did he have the secret service drive him around during his COVID hospital stay with that wacky optic? Dude craves flattery and attention, we know this.

He loves to LARP being a general, remember the helicopter sendoff after the hospital stay? How he talks about some young military officer who comes up to him and says, “Sir, we just don’t have as safe and secure election in America as they do in Afghanistan.” He loves to pretend he’s a badass that everyone respects like he’s earned his stripes, reality goes more like the Georgia SOS call (which made me think of that woman who wouldn’t certify, Trump must’ve been fucking tormenting her lol).
Today he LOVED being the benevolent strongman, telling them to go home peacefully and remember fighting for him forever. It’s really obvious who he is and how it motivates him once you see it.

I hate to side with Keeeeed but I sort of agree that yesterday’s events weren’t a true coup attempt, if only because I don’t see any way in which “bunch of wackos enter the Capitol building” translates to “now Trump stays in power” (although maybe I shouldn’t underestimate Chuck and Nancy making a deal in which Trump keeps power in order to save their own skin and then they end up in the guillotine anyway). That said, it’s clear to anyone with half a working brain cell that Trump has been obsessed with keeping power/overturning the election since he lost and making this thread in the first place was ridiculous.

I don’t disagree with this part; a smarter version of Trump probably pulls it off with actual brown shirts and military personnel instead of a bunch of Qanon wackos.
Maybe the next one could be a Putin, but I think Trump being a moran has been a big part of his appeal. Moran recognize moran.
