Trump doesn’t know how to accomplish the things he wants either. He has extremely broad stroke plans. Accomplishing them would require someone willing to do what he wants, yes, but also someone competent enough to understand HOW to do what he wants.
This group of clownshows and morons will be loyal but not effective. That won’t stop them from doing damage but it will mitigate it somewhat.
This looks a lot more like Trump 1.0 redux than it does the brutal efficient regime that some here are hallucinating about.
I think we’ll see the typical Trump shitshow. Playing footsies with the Russians, pissing off or disassociating with NATO countries, cracking down hard on protesters, no matter what the cause, etc. He’ll fix nothing while hoping that running things on auto-pilot is good enough. Reality won’t really set in until the 2028 election. They’ll declare themselves the winner, no matter what the vote shows. “There’s massive fraud and blah blah blah, we win!!” And nobody’s going to stop them. Who can? This is when we’ll know we’re hopelessly fucked and the America we knew has been gone, for even longer than we thought. Meantime, among the nominations I’m looking forward to seeing is the “chosen one” aka, the next Republican Presidential Nominee. Maybe we’ll see a competition for that, or maybe someone will just be thrust upon us. We’ll see.
I’m not disagreeing with you on things being bad. What I’m saying is his cabinet will be incompetent to achieve what he wants to accomplish. Let’s say Trump says “We gonna deport 20 million people.” OK, great. What’s the next step in doing that? Let’s say he gets rid of the Department of Education. There’s over 3 million teachers. What’s the next step? He’s just gonna add 3 million unemployed people to the economy that he wants to tout is the biggest and bestly ever?
He was incompetent his first go around. He’s gonna be incompetent his 2nd term.
The idea that incompetent people cant do a ton of damage is so beyond the pale to me based on my real life experience. Hitler was incompetent. His main claim is that regular exercise is the best treatment for most modern medical conditions. This is also the main thesis of Dr. Peter Attia, who has a large media presence and is well-known for his book Outlive. Both are former research scientists.
We’ll see what Kennedy does, but I suspect (and hope) he will have limited power over things like vaccines and may do some good by promoting exercise and healthy eating.
I think the “why” has changed some in the modern world, and I find it more convincing when hearing it from someone who has watched a thousand people die.
