For the polymarket wager, these are the rules:
This market will resolve to “Yes” if Matt Gaetz is confirmed as Attorney General by June 30, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.
If Gaetz’s nomination is formally withdrawn or if the Senate rejects his nomination this market will immediately resolve to “No”.
The resolution source for this market is information from the U.S. Senate (see: U.S. Senate: Cabinet Nominations Rejected, Withdrawn, or No Action Taken), however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
I don’t know that I’d place a large amount of money on it, but I think this clearly means “actually confirmed by the Senate”, and not just “recess appointment”.
