I don’t see how you get to hard disagree with that opinion. I would also say it’s much more likely. It’s just not a lock.
The utilitarian line is a terrible line to when trying to persuade people not to persecute tiny minorities. They don’t see the harm, because they literally don’t see the harm.
Persecuting trans people is wrong even if there are only 3 of them in the entire world.

That’s kind of what I was trying to do Just to show the hidden harm that these kind of questions have on trans people. Disingenuous conservatives are already asking these same questions so there’s really no need to be asking them if you’re not in agreement with them because at this point it’s just adding more wood onto the pile and it’s only helping their side and hurting trans people even though it’s not really obvious. It’s not a pleasant experience to constantly have to validate your identity to people and constantly have people questioning whether or not you should be able to exist in public. It’s completely traumatizing to have to deal with this stuff basically PTSD from all of it. It’s horrible . Transitioning during Trump has been hell. But it’s always hell unless you get support. Luckily I found supporting people to help me through all this but without that it’s impossible basically. So just Try to be nice and think of trans people is all I’m trying to say. It just all starts to add up. I’m already completely defeated about the current sports debate just because I know even if trans people win this one they are going to immediately create a new controversy 10 minutes later And the whole process will start again.

This is the republican MO to a T. Find a minority group and other them, find increasingly ridiculous slights to milk against them as the group gains more and more public acceptance, then dump the cause conpletely and focus on the next minority group.
First* it was civil rights for african americans, then integration, then interracial marriage, then the aids epidemic and gay panic, then gay marriage, then trans rights, trans bathroom battles, now trans sports. It’s an endless cycle and each time they just leave this massive hurt and traumatization in their wake. And every time they do their best to get people from both sides on their side by presenting made up bullshit or “facts” that support them but are so niche as to not matter.
And yet, EVERY SINGLE TIME they lose and we do ultimately come out on the progressive end of things but it’s been a fucking 8 decade gish gallop for human rights across the board.

And the “solution” they come up with is to creep on little kids genitals. Ummm…gross. And I’m sure the person that applies for that job will be a good person not some type of creepy pedophile. Everyone knows the way to keep innocent little cis girls safe from trans girls is to traumatize them by inspecting their vaginas… like what’s wrong with these people they are sick
